Amazing staff from the begging until check out (they even help me carrying my luggage to the 4th floor since there is no elevator). Clean and nice private room actually pretty big bed and was comfortable to sleep in. The little desk in the room was very convenient but the chair was hard wood and pretty small. The train station is Kitashinagawa Station local 1 stop to Shinagawa where you can transfer to must places. Very nice staff even recommended places to eat. 10/10

I didn't have high expectations since the place was quite cheap. But the friendly of the staff, the cleanliness of the place and the location 2 blocks from the train station met all my expectations. They made me feel safe by providing me with all the information on the train schedules. If they did not know, they did the search to provide me with the information. Each of the young people who work in that place are very friendly, energetic people with very good vibes... a highly recommended place, I definitely would stay there again.

Guest house was conveniently located and inexpensive. Room was small but comfortable enough. This isn’t a luxury hotel by any means, but it was adequate for my one night stay and cheap.

This is a no-frills hotel for backpackers and those interested in staying in the Tokyo area at a reasonable rate. However, what sets this place apart is the front desk staff. Each and every one of them went above and beyond at every possible opportunity. The welcoming atmosphere made it feel more like staying with friends and causal inquiries about the day's plans would lead to googling , mapping, and advice designed to help you get the most out of every single day.

Overall it's nice. A very kind staff and moderate facilities and amenities. In addition, it's very close to the station "Kitashinagawa" whis is one stop from Shinagawa Station.

Smallest Room In Tokyo!!!!
This has got to be one of the worst places ever! Very small room with nothing but a bed a stool and a shelf for a desk. No TV, fridge, bathroom or anything. The room was right next to the kitchen so you hear everything. Plus it was expensive! If you are a backpacker & don't know anything about Japan and don't care anything about any amenities, this may be the place for you.

Nice guesthouse with great transport links
Nie and welcoming little guest house near both the airport and Shinagawa station. Maybe not ideal as a base for your stay in tokyo but a great place for a night or two if you're heading off somewhere early or arriving late

Amazing staff and awesome location!!
I can not thank enough for the amazing staff to go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. All of the staff there were so caring and helpful from the time we arrive till the last moment we left - not to mention about the great location near by major bullet train station and awesome local restaurants/bar/markets and hot spring! We can not wait to come back here again.

Eventhough it's a bit out of city's hustle, very near to Kita-Shinagagawa Station. Can take train to Shinagawa station for Shinkansen and JR Yamanote line by 2min Jney and 230Yen.

Not bad place
It’s easy accessible from station kits-Shinagawa. Quiet neighborhood with convenient store next door. We booked a private room with a capacity of two people. Room is small, we barely put our suitcases in the room. There’s a shelf on top where you can store your luggage however it was very dusty. There’s a window but no view other than a wall in your face. The host was nice and helpful.

Nicest people ever!
Our stay at Guest House Shinagawa was beyond our expectations. Truly this as the best place we ever stay. My brother lost his passport, one of the front desk clerks went with him to the police station and helped him with the paper work, also calling to the train station to see if someone returned it. This is just to name a few. So cozy and fun to stay. Highly highly recommend this place, and surely my place if l go back to Tokyo. 5 STARS!!!!! Thank you!!!!

The staff are fantastic and made me feel very welcome and were very helpful but I found it noisy in late night and early morning and the beds are too hard for my taste. A good budget place well situated close to Kitashinagawa and nice selection of shops bars and restaurants nearby. Ask the staff to direct you to Akira's bar.

Small room, paper thin walls and door, check in not till 4pm which is a bit ludicrous, good location, handy for haneda train from kita shinagawa. All in all it was 'ok'

We needed an affordable place close to the train station for a quick overnight stay before we headed out to our next destination. It was small but clean and convenient. They gave good instructions how to get to their place. The night attendant was very courteous.

Nice place, kind staff, very convenient area close to shinagawa station, from there you can go to anywhere. Also there s a couple restaurant close and convenient store around. I recommend this hostel also very cheap.

Great hostel, staff and location!!
I had an awesome time at the Guest House Shinagawa-Shuku!! I arrived in Tokyo after 10pm and the GH staff was there waiting for me! This hostel is located 10 min away from Shinagawa station, which takes you to the best neighborhoods in Tokyo (Harajuku, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Akahaba). At this station (Shinagawa), you can take an express train to both Haneda and Narita airports. Staff is amazing!! There is a 24/7h convenience store right beside of the Hostel. I strongly recommend your stay at this place!!!

the hostel is really closed to the station, no need to cross the footbridge, nor stair, nor tunnel, just 3 mins walking is fine. Plenty of Local train to get back to Shinagawa station and even convenience to HND airport. Also, 3 supermarket within 3 mins walking and family mart is just 10 feet far. You may find some visitors from europe there, and the japanese staff there is with fluent english (even non-asia accent). It is really a good choice if you wish to stay a night before taking the early flight from HND. Just a little problem, the room is bit narrow and might keep accidentally hit the wall and make some noises to the next room.

品川でのゲストハウスは初めてでしたが、昔の東海道の宿場町だったこともあり、町の雰囲気にすごく風情がありました。 23時過ぎのチェックインでしたが、スタッフの方がとても優しく対応して下さいました。 今回は次の日の予定が早かったため、宿場町を楽しむ時間がありませんでしたが、次回はゆっくり旧東海道を味わってみたいです！

諸事情でチェックインが遅くなりましたが、笑顔で迎えてくださりました。 フレンドリーにお話ししてくださり、 癒されました。 ４人部屋のドミトリーで、初めての経験でしたが、子供の頃の二段ベットが 思い出され、ワクワク感あり、また、お布団もふかふかで快眠でした。 旧東海道の雰囲気も素敵でした。 家族でドミトリー泊まりたいなと、思ってしまいました。
