We were a family of 8 that fit comfortably in the apartment-style hotel. Our kids loved this hotel! Very walkable to food, grocery, and the train station. The staff was very accommodating and everyone spoke English:) thank you Mimaru Ikebukuro staff for making our stay amazing! Definitely recommend this stay for big families:)

I have super complicated views of this hotel. On the one hand, the impossible to find hotels for groups larger than 3 in Tokyo, and this place fit the bill. It was generally clean, although there isn’t daily cleaning, which it feels like there should be for the cost (and we weren’t notified about this until right before checkin). My two major complaints are that the hotel is noisy and the mattresses are about 5 inches thick—they’re thin and insanely hard, and I’ve never seen anything quite like it, including at other stays in Japan. For the price, a good night’s sleep seemed like it should be provided. We complained to the hotel and wanted to leave, but they wouldn’t refund the remaining nights, which also seemed inappropriate. So between the discomfort of the mattress, noise from the neighborhood, and inability to get a refund, I can’t recommend the place. It’s also a neighborhood that’s pretty inconvenient to the rest of Tokyo—be prepared to spend 30-60 minutes in transit to get anywhere, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. In short—if you can, stay elsewhere.

Great Apartment Hotel. Good location, great room layout for a family of four (we had the Loft Bed Room), and spotlessly clean! Easily walkable to Ikebukuro Station which has lots of shopping and dining places to explore. Several convenience stores within a block of the hotel for supplies to make breakfast in the hotel, and the kitchenette has everything you need for a few days stay (and you can hire bigger appliances like rice cookers / toasters). The staff were really friendly and helpful and we're looking forward to returning to the hotel soon.

I loved the location, lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, just an 8 minute walk to a large station with multiple lines. The futon bed did wonders for my back! We booked the loft bed and I noticed a lot of dust on the upper bunk. The only thing with the property is my husband developed an allergic reaction to something in the room - maybe the dust on the bed? Staff were helpful and spoke English - seemed to be an international crew!

A nice hotel in the Ikebukuro area, short walk to lots of restaurants and the train station. Room was very modern with a nice kitchen and had everything you needed plus more. Bunk beds were a fun feature in the room I had chose, the only issue were the pillows which were way too flat so it was a bit uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall, good stay experience, close to everything you need.

The property was super clean and they were able to provide an earlier check in for 5 of us which was amazing! The location was excellent and it's just a few minute walk to nearby restaurants and malls.There were two bathrooms and toilets in the room and the bed was really comfortable.

we had a great 3 nights stay here. so clean, beds are super comfy, toilet is perfectly clean and spacious too and walkable to station within 5 mins. love it! staff are friendly too

The location is quite excel. The surrounding area is residential, quiet and safe. Shopping centre is just on the other side of the hotel.

The property and the staff were great, I wish they would have an on-site restaurant but there were many small restaurants with in a 5min walk. The property is clean and the rooms very inviting. Love the Japanese style in the rooms. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Tokyo. The apartment style is great for families..
