We loved our stay at The Barn Hotel. We loved the neighbourhood and it was easy walking distance to Ueno and restaurants/bars/ cafes. Easy walk to the train station. Room was very comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly. We would love to stay again one day!

Great little boutique hotel tucked away in a quiet residential street with easy walk to everything, and with good access to nearby train stations. The rooms were clean, stylish and well sized. The service was personable and the staff were very friendly and obliging.

Very quiet and convenient location to Ugusudani station (1-stop from Ueno). The staff were so nice and the rooms impeccable. We loved it and will be back again.

The Barn Tokyo has been one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. My husband and I came to Japan for our honeymoon, and the staff did absolutely everything to make sure our stay was comfortable. Our luggage was lost by the airplane carrier, and they even helped us get in contact with the airport to make sure we could pick up our bags. We will definitely be coming back once we’re back in Tokyo!

Our stay at The Barn Toyko was nothing short of perfection. The staff was very kind and friendly as well as helpful. The room was clean and sizable. Bathroom was was also comfortable to use and a good size! Excellent hotel, i would highly tecommend it and I will be booking with them again in the future!

Made a same day last miniute reservation. Got lucky and We had a larger room which was nice to find in Tokyo. Staff was excellent. Unfortunately they were sold out for our wish to stay 2nd night but found us a room at their sister hotel and even moved pur luggage over while we went out for day. Everything waiting for us in new room when we returned

Property is nestled in a quiet street at a convenient, walkable distance to train/bus stops and convenience stores. Staff were friendly and served us welcome drinks on arrival. Complimentary fruit, bread, and coffee available in lobby at breakfast time. Room was a comfortable size with large standing shower. Daily housekeeping available with linen/towel changes offered every 4 days (available more frequently at a small cost). No public use of washing machine (only available via simple laundry service for ¥2000 per laundry bag), but a 24 hour laundromat just around the corner. Service desk is manned during the day with no staff on site from 9pm onwards. As a female guest, I would have preferred the hotel front entrance to be accessible via swipe card access once no staff are on site, as the main entrance is unlocked at all times and any member of public has free access into the hotel and lift to access 2nd and 3rd level without a key card. Another issue is noise within the hotel - whilst all guests are asked to keep noise to a minimum after 10pm, the hotel is small and you do hear noises like footsteps on the floorboards and people walking down the hallway. Noise overall was minimal and we had no problems with this, but light sleepers may find this to be an issue. Soundproofing against noise external to the hotel was excellent - we could not hear the construction noise from the building a few doors down from the hotel.

This was an excellent hotel, located not far from the station on the circle line (Yamanote line) and easy walk to Ueno park. Rooms very comfortable and clean, made to feel welcome by staff and enjoyed our 2 stays here. Probably the best hotel we stayed in on our trip!! Thank you!😀

The staff were amazing! We initially dropped off our bags, by the time we got to our hotel room, everything was placed in our room for us. We did laundry service and we had fresh, neatly folded clothes the next day. We will definitely be coming back!! It was super convenient to get to the train station. There were many food options around the hotel as well. We would recommend this place for anyone visiting Japan!

The service was excellent, and it was located in an area that was extremely convenient and near the wonderful Ueno Park. Most importantly for me, it was in a quiet neighborhood and it was very easy to access the nearby metro station.

Beautiful boutique hotel, great and helpful staff, hot shower, amenities were all offered before being asked for. The room itself was set up perfectly for 2 people and the bed is super comfy. Excellent experience!

Everything in this hotel are excellent! I booked 5 days here. We have wonderful time. - Just only within 5 mins by walk to subway. - Only 1 station to Ueno Station but very quiet for rest at night - Few convenient stores and supermarket around hotel by walk 3-5 mins. - Many restaurants nearby hotel - All staffs were nice and helpful with great service mind. - Amenity kits are ready in room and spare at lobby Nothing to complain and suggest to stay here! We will have back if we have another trip in Tokyo :)

Loved the smaller, modern setup. Mary was a fabulous host! Rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. Building is a couple minutes walk from the JR train lines, couple minutes walk to a big grocery store and many restaurants. Could hear upstairs neighbors walking on occasion, but it’s a hotel. Would stay here again.

the hotel was very nice and the staff were amazing. there is complimentary bread, banana and coffee in the mornings enough to kick start the day. the hotel itself is a little bit far from shinjuku and shibuya areas, but on the same loop line.

Truly loved this place in Tokyo. It's VERY close to the train station that has the JR Yamanote Line, where you can go all over Tokyo fairly quickly. The place felt very new and CLEAN! They have you take your shoes off right as you walk in and you put your shoes in a shoe locker, where you will be given slippers/slides which makes the floors feel very clean. Complimentary coffee and bread each morning were really good and the rooms were very comfortable. They have a book that is a great guide for tourists that want to explore the area around the hotel and Tokyo itself. They also provide complimentary Netflix, which was a nice added bonus. I will definitely rebook here when I come back to Tokyo, amazing service all-around !

Wonderful boutique hotel
On the east side of Tokyo walkable to Ueno Park which is great. East transport less than 10min walk to the JR Yamanote line which takes you to all the places you’ll want to visit. Warm welcome and welcome drink. Kimonos in room. Spotlessly clean. Bread rolls and bananas to start your day. Lovely staff. Fella like home away from home. Good shower. Kettle, fridge and hairdryer in the room.

Hello. I stayed at The Barn in April 2023. The location is excellent. Super convient access to the Yamanote Line which can get you all over Tokyo. And ZERO trouble to get from Haneda airport to Uguisudani Station. The lady that runs the place is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

A Perfect Stay
We had an amazing 3 night stay at The Barn Tokyo. We were originally going to stay in Shinjuku but wanted to experience a less busy part of town. We lucked out when booking The Barn as it was exactly what we were looking for: quiet, immaculately clean, and modern with top-notch, friendly service. As advertised the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the train station and close to local restaurants, shops and a supermarket. We truly had a perfect stay and will be back upon our return to Tokyo. Thank you to the wonderful staff at The Barn!

The place is a 3-4 minute walk from the train station. Plenty of dining options close by. The hotel is immaculate and quiet. But what makes the stay really special is Rin who greets like a family member when you arrive. She also prepares coffee in the morning and just makes the stay very special.

Great little hotel
Small boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Room is small but on par with other tokyo hotels. Bathroom is great with high tech bidet toilet and separate shower room that could function as a sauna. One weird thing is that the shower room lock is placed outside the door. Kinda dangerous if your travel partner decided to lock you in. Overall we’re very happy with our stay and would stay here again in the future.
