"We very much enjoyed our stay at Xanadu Island resort. The hotel is hidden in a lush setting. The bedrooms are comfortable although they are not as roomy as they look on the pictures. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There are golf carts for rent and bikes are complimentary, as well as kayaks. The pool is very pleasant and quiet. "Our family stayed here and had a wonderful time. It's just as described, and Aileen, Randy, and their staff were all very friendly, hospitable, and helpful. Our 4yo especially enjoyed spending lots of time in the pool! (Incidentally, we loved being able to enjoy the rooftop space, along with 2 patios off of our condo.) The property is very clean, well taken care of, and a wonderful place to stay while you explore the island. We also felt secure and appreciated being able to rent a cart from them...

"I arrived early in the day, and Colin was very responsive and understanding of my situation allowing me to have a room immediately. The room was comfortable and clean. Later in the day, Colin came by to check if I needed anything. Since the nearby restaurants were closed, he personally made the drive to pick up food and deliver it to us. "We have been staying at Grand Colony for years. The reason we keep returning is the convenience of walking down the beach to the dive shop, having a full size kitchen and individual bedrooms for everyone. There are no amenities to speak of. No restaurant, no bar, no spa, the beach chairs have seen better days but so has the beach. The sea grass is nothing Grand Colony can help but it does make the ocean unswimable. "This place is not as advertised. Terrible wifi. Dilapidated exterior and surroundings. No beach access! Mosquito infestation m. I checked out the very next day and would have nit even stayed that night but was stranded. It’s a deserted island. Period! Don’t stay here!!!!!’nnnn"
