"This resort was exactly what I had hoped for, clean rooms and pool, great food and quality drinks everyday for our 7 day stay. The staff might have been the best part of the experience, they truly did what they could every time we interacted with them to ensure we were happy with whatever we had going on. They had several excursion guides to help us make plans if we wanted to leave the resort and do most anything. Oceanside access was beautiful, on property snorkeling was spectacular, and everyday they posted signage for the days activities around the pool area, including a few fairly major shows after dinner time on a stage near the pool. There was literally always something fun to do going on. This is a Scuba resort and we didn't stay here to scuba dive, but many happy people were. If I go back to Cozumel, I'll plan to stay here again. We loved it."

"Don’t waste your money staying here. Property has an old feel to it with a lot of upgrading needed. The room had to be one of the worst on the property. Only provided 1 chair in the room, graffiti on door lock, had to unplug fridge to plug in coffee maker to make coffee in room, housekeeping didn’t wipe down surfaces prior to us checking into room. Food wasn’t good at restaurants-cold, bland and they ran out of items. And the high pressure to sit through a “membership” sale presentation at the outset was off putting. Was supposed to be 90 minutes and lasted 3 hours. Upgrade promises for Preferred access made a month before arrival were not honored and requested Romance Package of flowers, sparkling wine and fruit (also prearranged) at check in was not done. Worst resort for our vacation that we’ve ever had. Hope this review saves someone else from massive disappointment for how much this place costs."

"The resort was nice. Great beach. Nice pools. Scuba shop was good and dive masters were great. Food at the resort wasn’t great other than the specialty restaurants but reservations are limited. A lot of the buffet food was cold when it should be easy to keep it warm. "

"Absolutely perfect stay at the Intercontinental. The beach has some of the clearest water I've ever seen and the pool area is also so lovely. We watched the sunset every night from the beach or restaurants. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast is great. Would 100% come back again!"

"Check-in was an absolute nightmare. I spent more time at the front desk in the first 24 hours that I did on vacation. It was sad, we had so many issues it’s undescribable. There were so many other people that have issues as well that we shared experiences. "
