The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. In particular, Kumar who was manning the front of the house and check-in was most accommodating and left an indelible impression on us with his generosity and making the stay most memorable.

Newly establish hotel, pretty room interior design, relaxing infinity pool after a hot day of exploring, staff were polite and friendly, walking distance to Georgetown tourist attractions.

The concierge staff esp the lady was very friendly and extremely helpful.

super convenient, located near major sites. Best of all was the service, we were a family of 5, arranged an airport transfer for us, upgraded us to a family suite as it was Mother's Day and my dad's birthday. Accommodated a late check in and late check out request, gave good dining suggestions. And of course, the beautiful heritage mansion. Highly recommended for those going to Penang!

Room is clean and spacious, with enough room for luggages. Walking distance to ferry, jetties and old town. Helpful reception staff.

Hosts howie and arthur are friendly. I stayed over xmas eve and xmas. They hosted a xmas potluck party. Free food, free drinks, awesome conversations. Atmosphere was great. Room is rather small. Aircon is cold. Water heater works. But footsteps can be heard in this refitted colonial house if you stay on the 2nd floor. Location is good. Very central. Minutes walk to the bus stop and to some great eats.

I have been booking hotels in Malaysia and so far, Royal Bintang really exceeds my expectations. Also to their staff Ryan, keep it up!

When the room safe-deposit box cannot reopens, was told not to used it anymore, as she is not always available to reopen it if the deposit box fail again! What an objective answer and condescending staff and a supervisor too.

The hotel is conveniently located in the Old town, easy accessible to Unesco Heritage site and street foods. 5 minutes walk to 1st Avenue and Komtar shopping centres. Room is clean and spacious. Staff are friendly and approachable. There are on site Restaurant and Convenient store for your convenience during raining days. Facilities wise, there are no phone and minibar in the room. Check-in was smooth and efficent and staff there was very helpful, especially the lady working at counter who later we found out is the female boss was very helpful with directions and suggestions. The housekeeping was done very well, even though he or she forgot to provide us with free bottled water after we check-in to our room and forgot to change our towel after staying 1 night. Overall was a very pleasant stay at the hotel.

Convenient location, everything is very new and staff is exceptional. One thing to note for the cleaners is to clean the hidden corners next to the wardrobe- I dropped a piece of clothing and collected all the dust

The location is excellent. Most places walkable. The staff are most attentive to the needs of the guest. We were made to feel like part of of family. Albert in particular went out of the way to make us feel comfortable. Eddy was the consummate host. A most memorable stay.
