Very nice hotel, good breakfast choices, nice rooms, good bar, nice to have the restaurant in the hotel with great food, great location close to tourist area, but off to the side in a quiet location. Highly recommended

A lovely hotel in a good location for site seeing if you are intending to see things at the four corners of the compass in Kyoto. Two metro line stations and JR line station in pretty easy walking distance. Just off main road so very easy to find convenience stores/ships if you need including underground shops in ‘Zest’. Comfortable bed and pleasant smelling toiletries. Plenty of other toiletries, teas etc available to pick up downstairs. Laundry room - only two machines and two dryers, but I did not have to wait when I used them. Onsite hot communal baths - separate ones for male and female, with female one provided with additional card security and lockers to put your clothes ( or hotel provide Japanese Pyjamas!) in when you go. Tote bag provided in room for you to take your towel down and back with. Could usefully do with ‘etiquette’/practical use instructions for those of us not familiar with communal naked bathing, but luckily a lovely Japanese lady who spoke English gave me instructions about the sit down shower washing beforehand and the need to tie your long hair up. Breakfasts have Japanese and western style foods and reasonable variety - though, as many dishes are not kept warm, your western hot food will be tepid. Decent coffee - including the ‘drip’ coffee sachets provided in room. Would have given 4.5 stars if it had been possible.

Excellent property in a very convenient location for visiting some of Kyoto key sites. Also just a few meters from subway access. Front desk staff is extremely professional, pleasant and helpful. Property is clean and has a nice restaurant on site, also an only guest bathhouse that was very relaxing.

We absolutely loved Hotel Resol Trinity Kyoto and will stay there again if we have the pleasure of returning to Kyoto. It is a beautiful hotel. The staff was lovely and the rooms were perfect. The location, a quiet side street just off a main street, is also fantastic. It's just a couple minutes walk to the subway, literally a couple buildings away from bus stops, and is across the street from Teramachi shopping street. Thanks to the fridge and hot water pot, as well as access to a microwave, we were able to prepare some meals in our room to cut our trip costs. But there is also an underground shopping mall around the corner with several restaurants. Our stay was wonderful.

Hotel is clean, blending in elements of modern and traditional design. Its amenities are great, starting with their hot spring bath. The location is walkable to Gion, Nishiki Market,and Yasaka Jingu, and has shopping and dining options at Teramachi street. It is also couple of train stations away from key attractions such as Nijo-ji, Heian Jingu, and Nanzenji. I'd definitely come back the next time I am in the area.

I find it rare in Japan but staffs in this hotel are a lot less friendly and at times very unhelpful. Most of them seems to be impatience. I have been to many places in Japan and it is the worst experience so far. The hotel management really need to look into this.

Location is great. On a quiet street in a local neighbourhood, and close enough to walk to good food and shopping. My room was very comfortable and clean. I prefer the corridors to the rooms to be better lit, at night it looks gloomy. Hotel onsen is a bonus but some hotel guests should know that talking loudly is inconsiderate.

Like the room decor, bed is comfortable and room is very clean. It is close to the nishiki market located in quiet area. I like the spa facilities and compliment to the Dyson hairdryer, the place is clean and well looked after. Hotel provides a separate smoking room, a big convenience to smokers.
