"2nd time staying here because of an early morning flight. It's extremely convenient for rolling out of bed and straight into the airport. The hotel itself is well presented with a fantastic area to relax with a drink and a few restaurants to choose from. Overall it's a great chill before you fly experience. The beds are very comfortable too."

"I had a morning flight so the hotel was the perfect place to stay right by the departures area at Gatwick airport. The complimentary bottled water and hot drinks were a nice touch. "

The Lawn Guest House had everything I needed for my one night stay and I felt so welcome and comfortable here!"

"I enjoyed my stay here. The bus from the airport will literally drop you right at the front of the guest house and there is a train station to London about a 10 minute walk away. Yes...the room did have some signs of being on the "old" side. But I don't go on vacation in order to sit in a room so I'd much rather stay in a place like this rather than a really fancy place where you'd be spending an arm and a leg for a room. The breakfast was very nice. I did have one minor complaint, though. Expedia claims the front desk is available 24 hours a day. I learned firsthand that this is not true. My flight landed early and I got to the guest house around 6:45 AM. I wanted to just drop my bag off so I could go sightseeing. But no one was answering the bell. I kept trying and still nothing. Before long 45 minutes had passed. It was dark and cold and it was a bit worrying because I didn't know how long I'd have to wait. I ultimately took a walk to kill time. By the time I returned at around 7:45 AM, someone was actually there at the front desk. Again, not too big of a deal in the end but it would have been better if someone was there and 6:45 AM is not exactly in the middle of the night either so someone should have been there."
