"The breakfast and staff were great"

"After some of the reviews I read, I was not expecting a lot, but was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is a refurbish older structure that maintains its charm. This is not a modern North American hotel. If you want this, then expect to pay over double the price, if you can find it. Here you need to settle for an older building, narrow stairs (read: no elevator). But the staff are nice. Every day of our five night stay we had fresh towels, hot water, and an air-conditioning unit. The location is amazing. If you don't mind walking you are within 5 minutes of lots of food outlets, and the underground, and the embassy street. You can get to Kensington Palace within 10 minutes, and within an hour you can reach many famous tourist spots. Go out in the morning, see all the sites and get home to your hotel to collapse in a lovely bed. "

"It was great to be able to check in before check in time Charging for bags shouldn't be done since bags are left in the communal space for anybody to rob Room was very hot but the air con in the room was very helpful Check the shower doors in room 32, they don't fully align when closed More staff are needed at breakfast time. Due to the layout of the breakfast room you can be missed by staff. Signs should be put up to say fill out forms for breakfast. Staff need to listen or read carefully breakfast requests. Otherwise comfortable and quiet"

"Unfortunately, we thought that breakfast was included; however, it was not. This was disappointing since, in my search on Booking, I had specifically searched for breakfast included. We did enjoy our stay, just the same. The room was clean, and the hotel was centrally located, very near tube stops, groceries, restaurants, etc. The view from the window was lacking, and the room was small. Just the same, I would stay there again. The staff were very nice, and we had a good visit."
