"The staff are verg nice, helpful and for what the hotel is, they do a very good job of accomodating their guests. That being said, the hotel has weird idiosyncrasies. For example, it was not clear to me when I booked that the rooms do not have their own bathroom. 3-4 rooms share the bathroom that you see in the picture. Luckily there is a sink in the room but no toilet or anything. Also, they have an odd rule where they require you to leave your key at the front desk whenever you leave your room. If you go to breakfast drop off your keh, you go out for the day, drop off your key. They say its for security but, idk, i thought it was odd. Also, it did not bother me, but there is no tv in the room or other ame ities like personal coffee maker, etc. Lastly, the breakfast was okay, however the last day i stayed there the scrambled eggs were rotten and tasted sour/off. The location is in a very good spot of the ciry, close to many sites, gondolas, water taxis, etc. And the staff did have the desk manned literally 24 hours. So good on them for that. "

"The staff tried really hard to make the stay nice. But they had turned off the AC for winter and the room was very hot. When the windows opened mosquitos came in. Lots of noise from the street outside. They let us change rooms but for the cost I was disappointed with this hotel. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Splendid Venice. The hotel is very well located and easy to get to many popular sites. Our room was well equipped with thoughtful storage details and the shower was wonderful. The room was clean and housekeeping staff provided fresh water bottles each day. Great stay!"

"Upstairs neighbors were extremely noisy every day during our stay. We called concierge every night so they could tell them to be quiet. It sounded like there was a gym above us. Not sure if they were wrestling, jumping, doing aerobics, etc. Staff was nice. Liked the 4-6 pm coffee and pastry time."

"Full of bed bugs, just don't go there, staff denying the bug issu, just admit there was after i showed them a picture, they don't take this problem seriously....but you should by going somewhere else"
