"Beautiful place in the heart of old town. We were extremely delighted in the quaint, personal feel of the hotel. Views are amazing! Just a note, it might be difficult to get to as the taxi can’t take you to the front and one has to navigate an incline. Tip, you DO NOT need to take the stairs up to the hotel, just navigate up the road to the left. Highly recommend. Staff was always pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay again "

"The apartment itself was spacious, clean and comfortable. It is in an excellent location, right in the city centre - very handy for the Bairro Alto/Chiado area of the city centre. Customer service from the rental company was friendly and helpful with good detail provided on how to reach and enter the apartment. The only issue would be that we contacted them regarding additional bedding when we arrived and never received any response to this, however managed to make do with what was on the beds...

"They would not budge on the 2;00 check-in time. We arrived off of a cruise ship at 7:30am and were told nothing could be done until 2:00. There is nothing open in the are that early so we were forced to wander the area until 9:00 am when the castle opened. They did take care of our bags to their credit. "The staff are wonderful. Cherry and helpful. The place is older and worn. Beds squeak a lot but are comfortable. As with most hostels, there is very little room in the bathrooms!! No place to put down your toiletry bag (except in the sink) PLEASE add some shelves. Some stools (on which to place clothes so they don’t get wet on the floor) would improve the functionality immeasurably! But again, the staff is wonderful. Breakfast was adequate too 👍"
