Everything was excellent. The only bad thing was that I couldn't bring friends or family to my room when I paid so much money to stay for 9 nights and 10 days. They have to improve on that, but afterward everything was wonderful.

Only has public washroom but great location
CONS: The front desk guy is very rude. Always cuts me off when I am speaking. Knocks and comes into the room to turn off AC even if I was still in the bedroom. I talked to him about it but he kept doing that. I even asked if the use of AC is timed, he said no. But he still went in to turn it off, multiple times. NO SHARED WR(Toilet) FOR DORMITORY. This hostel is on the 4th floor of a commericial building. There are other offices in the bldg so you will be using public toilet because they only have wash area inside the dormitory. PROS: Great location. It is in the heart of Myeongdong. Clean dormitory.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, SAVE YOUR MONEY STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT TREAT U BETTER. I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to stay at CALISTAR Hotel during my visit to Korea, and I must say it was a complete disappointment. From the moment I entered the premises, I encountered numerous issues that left me unsatisfied and frustrated. Firstly, the service at this hotel was abysmal. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, lacking any semblance of professionalism. Even simple requests took an eternity to be fulfilled. It felt like they couldn't be bothered to cater to guests' needs. Furthermore, the rooms were far from what was advertised. The walls were thin, allowing every sound from the hallway and neighboring rooms to infiltrate my peace. This made it impossible to get a good night's sleep, with constant disturbances throughout my stay. The decor was outdated and worn-out, lacking any warmth or charm. The overall cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, with noticeable dust and stains on the furniture. The worst aspect of my stay was the faulty bathroom facilities. The showerhead barely produced any water pressure, making it a frustrating endeavor to cleanse oneself effectively. Moreover, the drainage system was faulty, resulting in a slow and unpleasant flooding of the bathroom floor. This led to a constant dampness and an uncomfortable environment. Very disappointing
First of all, the location could not be better! It is a short walk from lines 2 and 4 and close enough to the main Myeongdong hub without being too affected by the noise. Unfortunately, that was really the only positive I had about staying here. I had to wait in the reception while the worker behind the desk showed guests around which wasn’t very necessary. The rooms are extremely tight which was never much of an issue but, because there are no windows, it was far too warm. We were not allowed to put the air con any lower than 25 degrees which didn’t make much difference and people would switch it off through the night. The bedroom light also stays on throughout the night and the curtain does not do a great job at blocking the light so I did not get a full nights sleep for the entirety of my 4 night stay. The staff could not speak English, so communication was difficult to solve my issues. I was confused about the description at the last exit to walk to the hotel. The description says explicitly 'turn right ' when leaving exit 5 but in fact I should have turned to the left. Before I realized this, I crossed a big street and I needed to ask people about the way to Calistar. was confused. The location itself is crowdy so that is almost impossible to get a seat in restaurants around. Very good is the transportation system. But you need to know where you are and where you want to go. There is a special app for this to support you.

Note: Double room / Twin room has NO WINDOW. My work mate checked in first and I realized that the room have no window at all. I did not wished to make any issue since I visited Seoul for work not for leisure so I did not make any complaint. However, unlike its photo, the room DOES NOT HAVE ANY WINDOW. And trust me, having window do make big difference in terms of your breathing comfort. Plus, you can hardly see front desk person when you check-in. (My work mate checked in at 7PM and there was another group of people whom waiting for front desk person to show up) Later 10PM, I again found another groups of people whom waiting for Front desk person to check in.

Chinese tourist trap - dirty motel.
BEWARE!!!!! The hotel owners are not Korean - they are Chinese. Most of the people who stay are Chinese tourists (rude and loud). This isn't a hotel, it's an office turned into a dorm-style room. The walls are not sound proof so you can hear conversations and people fighting (Chinese tourists). The pillows were infested with bed bugs (see picture below) and the hotel is that of Chinese standards - I should know I lived in China for 10 years. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone and hotels.com should dump them as a vendor. As for parking, don't believe their 10,000KRW a day parking price, I got charged more than that.

首先我要是事先知道這酒店要求那麼多，我是一定不會租下它！！ 第一 在地圖上是找不到的！它的名字是「明洞寶石酒店」所謂3星酒店！ 第二 床單和毛巾都是發黃，有很多碎頭髮在床單上！ 第三 「租住6天」是從來沒有人來收拾房間的！ 第四 第一次住「酒店」是需要自己收垃圾及分類！ 第五 房間不淮進食不要緊，但是共享廚房是凌晨1時就關閉。過時還被職員黑臉！ 第六 熱水忽冷忽熱的，洗澡很辛苦！ 第七 毛巾要自己放在外的收集桶，也沒有人告知可在那取新毛巾！ 第八 冷氣是直接吹向床，身體不強壯不建議住這裡！ 總結。整體很差很差很差！還有被歧視的感覺！在來韓國不會再選擇此間「酒店」 建議選梨太院或弘大附近的

8月初旬に宿泊しました。 2泊1室約18,000円3名 専用バストイレ付トリプルルームのとてもコスパの良いお部屋です。チェックイン時間は事前にホテルへ伝えてありましたのでスタッフの方はおりました。英語と韓国語の対応となります。英語でやりとりしましたが何となく！理解！笑っ注意事項てんこ盛りだった気がしますゴミ捨てセルフなどなど。 部屋はとても狭く隅から隅までベッドか敷き詰められおりましたが、２段ベットよりは良かったかと思います。スーツケースは出窓みたいな所に3人分どうにか置けたので通路？は確保出来ました。 チェックインして部屋に入ったらまずはエアコンつけて部屋を快適温度にしないといられません、のぼせそう！笑っ。外出する時はルームキーを専用差し込みより持ち出すと電気が切れます。だいたいのホテルはそうですが、なんとエアコンも切れます！www びっくりする事だらけです。で、部屋のスリッパは破けており履けるか〜でした！笑っ因みにカードキーは１枚なので紛失注意。ホテルへ入るPWも失くさな様にスマホへ保存必須。 フロント以外はエアコンがオフ状態なので部屋から一歩出ると蒸し暑さと柔軟剤？のにおいがむ〜ん(´Д` )辛 日本人の多くの方？が韓国での楽しみのひとつとしてるモッパンは出来ません。部屋での食事禁止なうえ、なんと持ち込みしたお食事などを食べる共有スペースがとても狭くなんとエアコンオフ状態で洗濯乾燥機がまわっていて、むっしむし！柔軟剤？の匂いと暑さで共有スペースでも食べていられませんでした。部屋のシーツやバスタオル、タオル類は共有スペースにある洗濯乾燥機で洗われている為（実際、共有スペースの飲食するテーブルでそれらは従業員が畳んでいました）部屋のベッドのシーツは張りがなくシワシワで茶色になっており、タオル類も拭いた後臭いがし、持参したものを使用しました。やれやれ。 他の口コミにもありましたが部屋と部屋の壁がベニヤ板？と思うほどお隣の声や音はしっかり聞こえます。笑っ、なのでこちらも注意が必要ですね。 バストイレルームは不衛生さはさほど感じませんでした。もうこの辺でマヒしてるかもしれません笑っ。トイレは紙は流せませんが安いホテルなので我慢圏内です。シャワーの水圧はまぁまぁです。急に水になる事もありますが夏なのでまぁ問題無いです。シャワーするとトイレはビシャビシャになるのでその際はビニールなど（持参）をかぶせとくといいと思います。 部屋にはコンセントを刺す箇所は複数ありUSB直接させるコンセントもありました。ホテルのWi-Fiは繋げていませんがあるはずです。ドライヤー、電子ケトル、テレビ、エアコンはありますがティッシュはありませんので持参された方がいいです。洗面所にはコップと小さな石鹸がありました。歯ブラシはありません。シャンプー、リンス、ボディーソープはシャワールームに置いてありました。 総合的に日本人には向いていないかもしれませんが、周りの立地は最高です。ウルチュロ入口駅から直ぐで、明洞の繁華街です。近くにセブンイレブン他コンビニもありますし、オリーブヤングも直ぐ近くにあるので安心です。また同じビルには有名なチキン屋さんやらキンパ屋さんやらたくさん入っております。困る事はないです。マッサージサロン、美容皮膚科なども入ってます。一歩外へ出れば夜遅くまで屋台もお店も賑わっておりますので、小腹が空いて何度か繰り出しました。とても便利です。 またこのホテルに宿泊したいですかと聞かれたら、私は勘弁ですが。今思い出すと笑えます！(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)

歯ブラシがなく、部屋での食事は禁止です。値段の割に清掃が△でしたが、アクセスも良いのでよいとおもいます。スタッフはいてもオートロックを開けてくれないので、キー番号をなくさないように気をつけて下さい。
