The cleanliness and location was excellent.
The hotel itself and the rooms were much smaller than expected from the photos.
There was no mini bar so ended up having to order two cans of coke from room service and it cost almost $20AUD! That was just crazy, plus we had to go down to reception to chase the order as took 20 minutes.
The bed was a bit hard but good pillows and linen.
Rooms are serviced only every three days which may be an issue for some. You can ask for a linen change if you want via a digital concierge.
Breakfast was included but no longer a buffet so probably not worth the cost as you choose off a menu and they (very quickly) bring items to you. Other hotels we stayed at were back to doing buffet breakfast so suggest intercontinental do the same.
Great location on the river a short stroll from Clark Quay.
Rooms very small , staff more focussed on rules and regulations than service , only 1 towel in room , very noisy late at night , service generally very poor , totally unhelpful in getting taxi to airport, no assistance with luggage , no conceirge,

This hotel should be four star at best
1) Check-in very slow despite being the only guest served
2) I paid extra for an accessible room type. Check-in staff took it upon herself to change me back to a normal room. Didnโt apologise
3) Gave me a wifi code that didnโt work
4) Shower flooded in room due to poor design
5) No Netflix but Chromecast works only half the time
6) Note that housekeeping only services your room once every three days, you can call if you want it more often
7) Service staff quality varies โ some are nice, some completely ignore you when you walk into the lobby
Staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is fantastic.
The room is extremely small, with very impractical layout . When you use the wash basin youโre splashing the contents of the only place where you can open your baggage. The same door slide to close the wardrobe OR the bathroom!!! Room service was delivered in papier take away containers (not as good as a McDonald packaging). The room wasnโt clean for 3 days after arrival ( staff claimed itโs Covid, other hotels said that not the case after getting clear PCR from airport)
No business centre, you have to email any documents if you need to print or scan. If youโre meeting someone at the lobby, the best you can do is get a bottle ( not glass) of water. You cannot even order a cup of tea.
