The staff were helpful but communications with them in English were often found difficult. The breakfast buffet had a good spread but had mostly Chinese foods and was very busy at peak hours. The bar in the lobby offers a very limited selection of drinks. Room housekeeping could be improved (carpet, dust, etc.). A few good restaurants can be found at the Fisherman's Wharf nearby the hotel. Ocean-view rooms are recommended

A good and convenient hotel to stay in Tamsui if you wish to stay a little away from busy Taipei City. It is closed to Yangmingshan and very convenient to do day trips to several sights.
