8.2/10 Very good! (1,007 reviews)
Very small room. Cost effective hotel in good location 5 mins walk to MRT & 20 mins to city centre (telok Ayer station is between raffles place & Robinson road).
No staff interactions as digital check in. Very loud Noise in my room from bathroom (5-02) every time neighbors used taps, toilet, shower. Room wasn’t cleaned during 2 night stay but maybe that is a hotel policy to keep cost down

9.4/10 Exceptional! (2,332 reviews)
My stay didn't start well.
Had requested checkin at 12PM (instead of 2PM) a few times before arriving, as soon as I arrived I was told room is not ready/ available at 12. The room which was alloted to me after finally checking in after 9PM had a few maintenance issues (bathtub plug non functioning, phone not working).
Had to request for a change of room when it could have been a well maintained room from the beginning. By the end of sorting everything out, I was dead tired. Finally the next room I was given was much better but this whole experience left a sour note in my short trip to Singapore.
Overall the staff were helpful and this property won't be my first choice for the next visit.

"A clean affordable room in a super expensive city. Yes, we were in the red light district and yes there were working professionals at street corners at night, but it added character to the neighbourhood. Very safe, actually. Great hawker food markets. Well connected by bus or metro - didn’t have ..."
