Visiting Brisbane for the first time, this hotel is situated in a perfect location. Close to everything yoy will need from the vibrant Felons to the free city link boat all on your doorstep to make a visit to Brisbane perfect.

Property was beautiful both inside & outside main reception, decor = lovely. Friendly front desk staff..... Bathroom in room was very old, tiles cracked, drawer in vanity didn't close, shower head very old. Sheets were beautiful hotel high standard, as were towels.

The hotel is conveniently located, close to the CBD & Howard Smith Wharves. It is quiet and the staff are helpful. Onsite parking is expensive.

Disappointing stay
Upon arrival room was 45° unbearable, so we had to turn air on in room and go for a drive for 2hrs to give the room time to cool down. This maid our stay rushed instead of relaxing, defore our dinner commitments. Breakfast was something that i would not recommend due to lack of food & cutlery. My wife had to share my knife to butter her toast. To top it all of the air-conditioning had broken down. All Staff where very helfull & did what they could, the rest was out of their controll.

Auto entry to car parking was out of order due to other guest driving into the barrier, while not in hotel’s control, it did make entering and exiting more difficult as had to open manually each time.

Beautiful view overlooking the river. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Quick easy walk to some amazing dining venues along the boardwalk. Friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely stay again.

Our aircon seemed to barely work, I spoke to other guests who were also really struggling with the heat and noticed the aircon wasn’t functioning properly. We barely slept due to the heat and the bathroom had some black mould in the shower/bath unfortunately.

My 2 night work stay was smooth, comfortable and efficient. I received an upgrade and complementary breakfast with my Expedia Gold status. No extra blankets in room dryer kept cutting out no cutting boards sofa lounge was broken couldn't get it out and wasnt made cost of patking was almost the price of the stay think i should have recieved some discount for more then 2 nights other than that staff were very pleasant

Dear Katrina, We have closed up most of our sofa lounges now and request guests contact us directly to organise additional beds. Many of our items in the room like blankets are on a request basis and the team is always happy to take a freshly cleaned blanket up. This is a model we moved to after COVID-19 to help ensure all multi-use items are clean for the next person. Our parking is based on local prices and we are happy to note we offer some of the cheapest hotel parking in the area. We do offer discounted parking for stays 7 days or over as we know it can be quite expensive after this. We do apologise for the lack of cutting board in your room and the team will be sure to put a new one in. We hope you give us another chance in future!

The walk up Ivory Lane to the hotel is a killer especially if you have a suitcase! Worse if you are trying to negotiate joggers, people on e-scooters and e-scooters parked over the footpath. The property aside from that is in an excellent position and close to Howard Smith Wharves and the riverside boardwalk. The rooms were dated but clean The bed was very comfortable. Checkin was easy as was check out. The breakfast buffet was a let down with no hot food for vegetarians aside from poached eggs-no tomatoes or mushrooms, hash browns etc. The room was perfect for my overnight stay. I would stay again. Good value for the money.

OK but...
The hotel is in a good location close to the Story bridge. It is at the top of a very steep hill so it would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There is a very small gym (bike, rower, treadmill and a set of dumbbells) and a swimming pool but more like a plunge pool. There were only 2 sunbeds for all guests! The room had a microwave and a fridge and these were useful. The bathroom would benefit from modernisation. There were a lot of electrical sockets in the room but the ones in the kitchenette area didn't work. As per other comments, although advertised as serviced apartments, this wasn't the case for us and we had to ask for clean towels. We had Breakfast included, and were charged extra for a cup of hot chocolate although this was not mentioned at the time. Breakfast itself was continental as expected but was very limited both in terms of choice and quantity. We left very early on the last day but the hotel would not provide us with a breakfast box either on the morning or the day before. The staff were all polite but not that knowledgeable on the local area and it felt like dealing with customers was an inconvenience as they were not very friendly.

The location and view was amazing. Having to ask for the room to be serviced is not so good. Two lamps (light bulbs) were not going, maybe this should have been seen before our arrival. I would definitely stay here again for the location and view alone!

We have an overwhelming response asking for it to be changed to request only. This is why we made the desicion to change our model. We do clarify in the arrival email, that if you would like services just to confirm with our reception team on arrival. We do agree that the room should've been more thoroughly checked before your arrival and we are following this one up with our Housekeeping Supervisors! Parking not available for our stay so were redirected to a private secure parking facility down street. The cost of this was reimbursed but car park was full so had to drive around for a long time until a park became available. The hotel is located at the stop of a very steep hill, so had to walk up this with our luggage. Restaurant (tacos) was open but no one to operate it. As a results we could not get food on site.

Staff are more than happy to let you park your car outside reception to settle into your room and unload your luggage before moving your car. Socal is a food truck that sets up a base for a couple of hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Sadly, we cannot control the hours of their staff but we will pass this feedback over to them!
