Overall a great stay. It’s a fantastic location to both the city and Howard Smith Warfs and only a short walk to Fortitude Valley.
Staff were great and super helpful with both the concierge team and the reception. Common areas and rooms very clean and nicely appointed.
We had a twin double with what were called “2 double beds” we booked the room as we were with our young children and I would really call the beds king singles so it was a bit cramped at night. The mattresses were also very worn with big dents from age and super squishy and quite uncomfortable.
The room also did not have a mini bar with any drinks and when tried to access a drinks menu on the tv to order room service it didn’t work, even after calling reception for help.
The thing that really let the stay down was when we ordered room service food. We placed an order for a main meal with a side and dessert and after about an hour wait without a meal I called down to see what was up and they didn’t seem to have the order. The nice chap said he would have the meal rushed through but it still took an extra 30 mins and the side to the meal was forgotten…. I gave up at this point to call and complain.
However the river view room had a fantastic view. And the staff really are very nice.
