Walking into the hotel you immediately recognize it's a historic site. The staff at front desk is very friendly and helpful. You can have them book dinner or water taxi reservations. The walk from closest water shuttle stop takes about 12-15 mins. But with the gravel pavement and several bridges to cross, it's more than just the time especially if you carry luggage. But if you take water taxi, the hotel has its own dock, which brings you right into the lobby. "
