"The stay was overall very good, the food in the restaurant was in my opinion very overpriced for the quantity and quality of the food received especially as a well known restaurant chain served a far superior meal for just a little more than we paid in the hotel. Otherwise the stay was good, the ..."

"Staff were very friendly and efficient but the hotel was looking very tired. The rooms had marks and stains on the wall etc and were in need of decoration. Same for the bar area's although it was clean. We were told that the hotel was shutting shortly for a re-fit. One special mention goes to Megan ..."
"Great place for a great price. The downfall was the bed - the headboard was hanging by a thread, the pillows weren’t to my preference, the mattress was poor, however, the breakfast, smart tv and shower made up for it. The view was great too."

"Staff were very friendly and efficient but the hotel was looking very tired. The rooms had marks and stains on the wall etc and were in need of decoration. Same for the bar area's although it was clean. We were told that the hotel was shutting shortly for a re-fit. One special mention goes to Megan who went out of her way to help us and looked after us in the restaurant and even tracked us down to say goodbye as it was her day off the following day. If you have a flight experience booked at North Weald airfield this hotel is the ideal place to stop, just 15 minutes away. "

"Lovely riverside location, plenty of parking, and very easy to be able to wheel luggage straight in, all on ground floor so no stairs to negotiate with cases. Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Room with twin beds very comfortable, and although tis room had no window (which was made clear when I booked), this was not a problem, as very good lighting and felt spacious. Actually very cosy. Everything seemed new, super clean throughout, and very comfortable bed. Plenty of storage and great biscuits to accompany the tea and coffee facilities in the room! I would definitely stay there again. "
