There was free breakfast included, they have a patio/balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The location is central to the train station, local restaurants/shops, and right by the bust stop that you need to get to Machu Picchu. "The staff was amazing! We arrived early and they were very courteous to have a room ready for us at a reasonable time. The rooms were tidy, especially appreciated the fact that they we not carpeted. The view from the rooftop was perfect for sunrise. The location was close to shopping and restaurants. It was nice to have the San Pedro Market so close. The breakfast was so delicious! There was a variety of foods to choose from. If I am ever back in Cusco, I will definitely stay here again."
