Good standard hotel near Gajah Madah area. Gajah Madah plaza within walk-able distance which has good eateries, shopping and a Cinema. The restaurant at the hotel offers local food at reasonable rates.

Nice budget hotel
It’s a small hotel within walking distance from Gajah Mazda Plaza. The staff are helpful and friendly with fast check in and checkout service. Room facilities are okay and conditions are clean. There is even a TV channel for watching World Cup football matches. The buffet breakfast is simple without too much food choices but it’s included in a rather low room rate so no complaints.

Walking distance to Gajah Madah Plaza
No iron and hairdryer in the room.We were told borrowing time for both items was only 2 hours but when I called at night to borrow,I was told to call back in the morning.Protocol was not followed.We asked for 2 therapists for the in room massage but only 1 therapist came.We were not told only 1 therapist is available at night.We would not recommend this hotel to anyone else for sure.

Breakfast is lousy. Very few choice and the coffee and tea is tasteless. Room is without face/hand towel and tissue. Upon request reply is hotel don't provide this.

Quality - The price is right
I have stayed here twice. The location is alright. Near Transjakarta. Easy to get taxi. Walking distance to a mall called Gajah Mada Plaza. Less than an hour to the airport depends on traffic. Since I have paid in advance, check-in and check out were fast.

great value located in northern part of Jakarta
The value was very good. Rooms are spacious and modern. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It's quite new, hence the good condition. The breakfast was very good, too. If you want to travel south or to central JKT you can use a cab or the bus at Sawah Besar bus station, five to ten minutes from the hotel. There is a mid-sized mall at that bus station for food and supermarket and even a seven-eleven and MacDonalds. Two bottles of drinking water is provided daily. I found Indos to be generally quite friendly.

Nice staff, and very clean. Really can't beat the price. Near shopping and mass transit stations. Nice buffet breakfast. If you are looking for basics and very clean. This does the trick.

great hotel walking distance to city centre
Spent a couple of nights in Jakarta on my way back home to Canada. Great location for a reasonable priced quality hotel with nice clean amenities and great breakfast and super helpful staff. Walking distance or short taxi ride to the grand Masjid, museum, national monuments, Grand Indonesian Mall or Thamin City Mall. Cheap Islamic clothing at the Thamin City Mall. A bus ride for 3,500 rupiah (35 cents) will take you any where one way. Avoid the rush hour as buses are backed. Need a bank card which has a minimum top-up of 20,000 rupiah to ride the bus. We had to buy a bank card to enter the national monument but it had zero money on it and since we discover this cheap method of transport on our last day we did not top-up the card. Other travellers were helpful to allow us to use their card.WE HAD A GREAT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AND AT OTHE STAY IN INDONESIA.

Been staying in this hotel regularly for the past months. Overall the service has always been good; friendly and responsive staffs. The breakfast menu has improved. The only downside is the cleanliness of the room. The bed sheet was stained. After getting it changed the next day, it is all good.

"Service could be improved"
For the money you paid it was good, but you should get a better service, which is standard to every hotel. Booking for a double bed room, was given twin bed. Asking for a mobile phone re-charger, was told it has been taken by other costumer. Stated on the flyer provided in the room, that last time to book massage service is 11pm, but when I rang at 10.25, they said it's already closed. When the staff collected my jacket for laundry I was given a price, but when delivered it I was charged higher price. After talking with the Boss, I was given a new price which is less than the second price but not the same as the original price I was given.

I have been staying in this hotel regularly. I am generally surprised at my visit this time round. Not only the reception remember me, I was also given a welcome note from the hotel management. Impressive. The hotel has always been a bargain for value. Good location to the central of Jakarta and the mall nearby offers you the ease of getting your daily necessities. I would recommend this hotel for business traveller. Good wifi and cable channels.

I stayed at Fave Hotel Zainul Arifin for 5 nights and enjoyed my time there thoroughly. The staff were dedicated and very helpful, the breakfast was outstanding, and even the standard room had all the facilities that I needed.

First bad experience for a regular stayer
I am a frequent stayer in this hotel. However the standard of the hotel appears to have a drop in recent stay. In my last stay, the bed has bed bugs. First time I had encountered this but this might be due to the poor maintenance of the hotel. Room service did not replenish toilet paper and complementary drinks. The hotel used to be value for money. However after the very last experience, I might just give it another go. One more bad experience, I am changing hotel for my business trip.

Great Hotel in Jakarta
This hotel is a great value for the price. It is located in a more rustic part of Jakarta but there are plenty of restaurants and street vendors within walking distance which helps avoid the infamous Jakarta traffic. The room was very modern even by Western standards with all lighting, AC, and even the TV controlled by just dropping your room key into a controller on the wall near the door.

Nice hotel near Malioboro Club & Spa
There's a mall around the corner where you can buy all kinds of stuff. The handle on my luggage broke while I was checking in, so I went to the mall and bought better luggage that was small enough to carry on at the airlines. Walk a little past the mall and there is a club and spa called Malioboro. Definitely worth checking out. It's one big red light district and you have to see it to believe it.
