"We really found this hotel fantastic. Last year we stayed at hotel naiwa which was also lovely but we found hotel metropolitan suited our needs more. House keeping was fantastic, everything was super clean. Highly recommend staying here! "

"The overall facilities of the hotel are very good and well-maintained. The rooms are clean, and the location is extremely convenient, with an elevator providing direct access to the train station's underground passage. However, the soundproofing is quite poor. Since the hotel is located directly opposite the train station, you can not only hear the noise of passing trains but also feel the vibrations when they go by. What surprised me the most was that the hotel charged a so-called “foreigner tax.” I have stayed at many hotels in Japan, and this is the only one that has ever imposed such a fee, which I found quite unusual and disappointing. Considering the price, I do not think the experience justifies the cost."

"It was fine for the one night we needed. Our room was clean but felt old and the bathroom was the most tired. There isn’t a lot immediately around the hotel but the subway is very close by. "

"This is a beautiful hotel in a central area. We loved the style, in Classical Japanese wood, with a little zen garden in between skyscrapers. It was a tranquil oasis to come back after a busy day exploring Tokyo. The hotel also had a relax area with massage chair (sooo good) and a convenience area with washer/dryer, microwave and drinks for purchase. We had a comfort twin room where they add a third bed for our party of 3, so in the end the room was tight with no much space. However, the hotel facility is Location is apart from the busiest neighborhoods so in the evening a bit quiet, but central enough to reach all touristy area with a few trains stops (Shibuya, Shinjuku, Tokyo station etc)"

"Bad breakfast stopped me ftom guving ut a 5 star rating. I don't recall giw much we paid to have breakfasts included daily, but this was the worst one out of 5 hotels we stayed in Japan this trip. We had previously stayed at a Mitsui Garden Premier hotel in Kyoto and the breakfast and food services were out of this world. This one wss the complete opposite. Only one if the staff at frint desk spoke ok English and the rest were not acceptable for a higher oriced chain as Mitsui to be helpful. The cleaning staff was great and broight us a change ifvtiwels and water bottles though we put up a sign not needing cleaning. Great location and no complaints there."

"Nice and clean. Fantastic staff (as is usually the case in Japan). Couldn't ask for a better location -- property itself has a lot to explore, and it's 2 mins from Suidobashi station (love that station too). Beds are very comfortable and views are great on the upper floors. Really good on-site amenities. There are only 5 laundry units for 1000+ rooms. It can be a battle but you'll have better luck during off hours (since we were awake anyway due to the time change). Elevators will bake you alive in the mornings on warm, sunny days (unless there's AC that just wasn't on during our stay). Again, the service is fantastic everywhere, but in particular the server at the bar on the 6th floor is absolutely adorable and the sweetest thing ever. Channel 11 tells you when the breakfast buffet is crowded which comes in handy. The 43rd floor is also great for breakfast if you want a more relaxed, sit-down experience (we didn't try the traditional Japanese breakfast place). Having these included was a nice bonus."
