Hotel 81 Changi is what it is: a budget hotel. Do not expect anything but a place to sleep. The rooms are small but adequate. No issues with the beds or the room service. The bathroom was a bit smelly, but I think that was because of a Crain on the floor. There is a bath and handheld shower. There was no shower curtain, and the main bathroom floor was a wet room floor. They expect "spillage" from the shower, thus the main drain. Good area and good local food all around, including a coffee stall. Good transport links. A bus stop right outside, and MRT is pretty close. I found it pleasant to stay there.

I like the place. The only thing and they should take care is when rains the water gets trough the window curtains and when I shower the water gets out of the bathroom through the front door. If I go back to Singapore I will go to your hotel again. Thanks

Location is close to airport, cost abt SD20 using taxi from airport. The room is very small. It has window that cannot be opened for fresh air. The bathroom was very stinky and the AC was centrally controlled by the front desk and it was freezing cold. I WOULD NOT recommend this hotel.

We will definitely be back, The only down-side was the adjacent guests having no concept others sleeping when they have an early start, having lack of controlling their children running up and down the hallways and yelling; grown-ups were no better; talking across to each other to rooms opposite each other. I am pretty sure you have a quiet-time.

Perfect for one night stay between flights
Just what we needed for one night stay between flights. The room was comfortable and clean and had all we needed. The Bus number 24 from the airport stops right outside so no need for expensive taxis. Would certainly recommend.

The property is poorly furnished. The safety lock is missing without repairing. (Some other parts in the room are also lack of maintenance.I need to tie up the door knob with luggage strap to ensure safety at night. There is a kind of bad smell with the undried bedsheet . I saw a tiny black bug walking on the pillow .Luckily I only lived for 2 nights. Some positive areas are good water pressure and near MRT station.

This can't be described as a hotel. There are no facilities (no restaurant, bar, lounge, minibar), not even a coffee machine or a drinks dispenser. All you get is a room, and in my case a cleaner outside making a noise until 1am

The air conditioning was controlled not in the room, but by the front desk. We asked for a warmer temperature and as a result the entire room had condensation effect, the wall and the floor became misty wet.

I'm surprised this chain charges so much for their rooms. The room was dirty, it had a smell. The pictures are absolutely misleading. These hotels are a dump. I tried two different ones because everything else was sold out and they were horrible.
