The WestMark in downtown Anchorage is much better than the other reviews would imply. This hotel was no frills, but a perfectly good hotel for a fair price. Would absolutely stay here again.

Hotel is in a central location, however,the homeless are nearby but not bothering anyone. Wonderful art galleries nearby as well as a very popular brewery/restaurant. It’s also walking distance to the train station that services Denali and Fairbanks.

The property is in an extremely convenient location! All shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. There is even a very nice walking trail that’s not too far of a walk. Anchorage has a pretty active homeless population so that would be my only complaint; however, it is not the hotels fault.
