I realize it has recently changed hands and will be going under renovations The staff especially in the bar have a deer inn the headlight look and they ignore me until I ask them for service. I think it’s a case they are not comfortable outside of Thai language.

1) we payed for superior room. We had such room last yeat by this time and we can compare. This time around the room was smaller abd we were adk to additionally pay 20 CAD/ day to have the room tha we booked. 2) the breakfast was supposed tb in included but we were charged every day 3) the quality of air in the room was unacceptable: there was not enough oxigen and too much hunidity, hard to breath. The last day, of january 14, we had to meek the door open for breathing. 4). At check out, we were tols tha everything is Ok. We ask for a bill, we wee told we will receive it by email. We we saw thw breakfast was charged everyday, we wanted to discuss this charge bu we could not. Nobody answers the phone. VERY DISSAPOINTED

Outdated hotel with marijuana store on ground floor. Very strong smell of marijuana ever time you enter the hotel. Room smelled moldy. Very humid. Bathroom was old and water did not heat up properly.

Disappointed with this hotel, expected something much better especially when it carries the name of Novotel. Breakfast was decent; but it was the same everyday. Lobby & Concierge area was bland, not welcoming. Very limited dining options in hotel. Room amenities were very poor, shower head was broken and leaking; informed the reception staff several times but nothing done. Room cleaning were poor, did not give new clean towels. Aircon in room was not cold at all; was controlled automatically, can not adjust manually. Curtains in the room were spoilt, cannot be drawn closed fully, the morning sun was glaring right at the bed. Insufficient power points plug in the room, cannot charge multiple devices at same time. Renovation was done during our stay in the hotel. Overall disappointed with the hotel, didn’t let my expectations

La habitación es ideal para una sola persona. Dos personas es incómodo!! No tiene suficientes puertos de cargas (enchufes) ni uno en el baño. Muy poca iluminación en la habitación. Fuímos al restaurante pésimo en servicio y la comida peor. Lo único bueno que puedo destacar es su ubicación.

Under-staffed, run like a 2 star hotel.
Staying with young children. Requested non-smoking room. Attempted to check in after 2pm but staff made us wait 1 hour for our room to be ready. After entering room, room smelled so badly of smoke our family could not stay in the room. Staff said they would use an ozone machine to remove the smell, please wait 3 hours. Waited 3 hours, now early evening, entered room again and the smell was no different. Horrible smoke smell as if they did nothing. Will never use another Novotel.

All Staff are friendly, especially Woody & a Beautiful Lady manager. Happy & Grateful for them, this hotel walking distance to Chao Prayah river - Sathom Pier to take ferry. Good deal.

Property is really old, dirty, bathrooms nowhere like in pictures and smell like a sewer. My brother and I booked 4 rooms total for our big family but had to move to another hotel after 2 nights. It’s nowhere close to Iconsiam or the river. It’s a waste of money and your vacation time. Not worth it!

Old hotel requires facelift
Good location. Great staff. However, the hotel desperately needs a major revamp. It's old and smell like it. Breakfast also needs an updated menu. Will definitely not go back.

Good location
The location is good. Easy to get a taxi or book a grab. Facilities in the room needs a lot of improvement. Wifi is not working at all. Towels are old. Shower cap and a piece of bar soap are the only toiletries kept at the wash basin.

Tl;Dr - literally the worst hotel I've stayed at in the recent decade. I can't believe this is a Novotel property, stay away and book somewhere else. I was here for a business trip and had to stay at this grungy establishment for two weeks. The highlights: - the room had a clogged drain, ripped drapes and a malfunctioning fridge. - the technicians never fixed them. When we asked to change rooms the staff refused. - finally a plumber came, he literally used a toilet plunger to try to fix the drain. I asked him if he had some sort of drain cleaner liquid, he didn't. He ended up splashing disgusting dark water pipe residue all over the bathroom floor. Afterwards he left without cleaning. Not to mention he walked all over our room carpet with his sneakers on. - cleaning staff doesn't seem to clean anything. - bathroom towels are overwashed, old and torn. - most of the concierge staff can't really communicate effectively in English, or any foreign language for that matter (I'm bilingual with basic fluency in two other languages). Other staff can't communicate with the hotel guests at all. - the rooms are very dark, shower water pressure is very anemic and the WiFi is ridiculously slow - the hotel smells funny, there's this constant sewage stench - the breakfast food is slightly below mediocre I've had good experiences with Novotel in other places. I think this particular location has some messed up management and at least for now I don't think it is representative of Novotel.
