Stayed in 506. Old but clean. Comfy beds and quiet AC. Can hear the neighbors' tv through the electrical outlet. Very bad wifi that keeps on disconnecting, asking for userid and password everytime on a separate screen. Showerhead needs an upgrade as half of the holes are clogged and shower curtain is too short so water gets all over the bathroom floor. Reception desk staff had no smiles in stock. Maid was very nice. 6/10 overall
Large room, clean. Good location. However, the key chain for the room key was a giant wooden block - it doesn't fit in your pocket so hopefully you have a bag/backpack to carry this thing around in. You may be able to leave it at the front desk, but it's a bit of a pain when you're in a hurry.
Renovated hotel. Soothing choice of colors both inside rooms as outside. Location is walkable to two malls and all the coffee shops and restaurants you can choose.
Hotel being renovated. Very soothing interior colors, new aircon. Neighborhood that has it all. Great coffee at jong kub. Go right and two blocks on your left.
Comfortable stay, great neighborhood. All you need at your doorsteps.

After checking in, I discovered that there were only a couple of clothes hangers in the armoire, so I went back to the front desk to ask if there were more available. The man at the desk copped an attitude and asked just how many I wanted. I replied maybe 10. He said ok, but the hangers never appeared during my 4 night stay. In general, the staff was never friendly, or helpful. It seemed that they knew almost nothing about Chiang Rai!

Liked: Staff & service
Very nice receptionist and But the room is not bright, too dark.
It's not a good place. It is introduced as 2.5 star class, but it is suitable for 2-star class. It's very old and the facilities are not good. The Internet is not working well, either. The TV is not good and everything is bad, such as shower and bed. Only one of the restaurants and cafes around them were good.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Faded glory, but everything was just fine
You can tell that this used to be a 3.5-to-4-star hotel: conference facilities and restaurant (both apparently no longer in use) and a pretty impressive staircase, lobby, and sitting facilities on the second floor. But everything else looks a bit knocked around, and the (abandoned) hall monitor desks on each of the upper floors bespeak practices that no longer apply. (You do, however, have to surrender your room key each time you leave the building.) Still, everything worked just fine, and the desk staff were helpful and accommodating. So while I wouldn't recommend this place for a honeymoon, it's an excellent option for the budget traveler, especially one who wants to partake of the Nimman scene.
Taking into consideration the price paid for the stay, the hotel meets my expectation. The location is perfect to visit many places and shops along University of Chiangmai, Nimman, Maya... etc, just by foot . Would also like to specially recommend a cafe on the right by 2-3 minutes walk opposite the hotel. Delicious cakes with limited stock!
