Malmaison, Craigmillar hotels

"The Apex Grassmarket Hotel was a great hotel. The location was excellent with lots of restaurant/pub options in full view of the front of the hotel, and many more in easy walking distance. The hotel has a great breakfast buffet and offers lunch and dinner too (I only had the breakfast). The location is less than a 10 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle, Victoria Street, and the Royal Mile, and about 15 minute walk to the shopping on Princes Street. The room was very comfortable with a nice clean bathroom. When I had questions, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Additionally, there was a parking lot there too (the parking fee could be added to the hotel charge). There was a limit on the number of spaces, but we never had an issue finding a spot. I would strongly recommend Apex Grassmarket Hotel for anyone travelling to Edinburgh."

This was especially helpful as it was quite rainy during our stay so nice to have fun shops, bars, etc close by to pop into when the weather was poor. We liked the extra amenities in the room (umbrella, hair straightener, stocked mini-bar/snacks). We were very appreciative of being granted early check in!"
