There are a large number of hotels to choose from in Sanur. Like a lot of people we made our choice based on price and the pictures on the websites. It was a good choice. Sanur itself is a quiet resort, certainly compared to Kuta. It is a starting point for many of the ferries to the islands. Diwangkara hotel is well positioned in a great location with direct access to the beach and the ferries.
The hotel has quite a few negative reviews on line; we can see where some of these are coming from but think that people are being a bit harsh. The towels do need replacing, the bathrooms need refurbishing. But they are clean, breakfast is good value, the restaurant looks onto the beach, the pool is excellent. The best bit was the staff who were pleasant and helpful throughout. We stayed for a week and were very happy there, using Sanur as a base to explore the island. Would we stay again? If we go back to Sanur then definitely.
