Service was impeccable. The premises were very pretty and we love the trees and the surroundings. Breakfast was also wonderful.

We stayed as a family of 4 (5&8yo) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Whilst they sometimes were a little short on English the staff tried very hard at every opportunity to assist us and make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast is great and we enjoyed it every day and the private onsen is a highlight - very relaxing and I would definitely recommend booking it. Hotel is close to the train and we found it easy to walk around town for dinner, etc.

Good stay at the hotel

A charming historical inn and hospitable hosts with great location, my partner was so reluctant to leave.

Restaurant could have provided a wider selection of ala-carte dishes albeit simple dishes like ramen, donburi, burgers, etc instead of restricting ala-carte dishes to be chosen only from the set menu.

Our stay at Aburaya Tousen was a memorable experience. We arrived quite late but had no trouble finding the place. There are a few free parking lots around, which made things easy. Service stood out right from the start.. a staff member came out to greet us and helped carry our luggage from the gravel parking area. Check in was done while we were seated in a nice, modern lounge, with snacks and tea served. It felt very welcoming and thoughtful. We went for a more traditional Japanese style...

Mampei Hotel was wonderful. Much better than I expected considering the price and age of the hotel. The location is good. Walk-able in 10 minutes from the old Ginza shopping street (the walk itself was a nice and pleasant stroll). The hotel was easy to find and surrounded by beautiful lush greenery and gardens.
