Explore the iconic Stradun thoroughfare where cafรฉs spill onto sun-drenched plazas. The Rector's Palace and Sponza Palace showcase intricate stonework and rich history. Game of Thrones fans will recognise many filming locations throughout the district. Early mornings offer peaceful moments before cruise ship crowds arrive.

Babin Kuk

Babin Kuk offers a refreshing coastal escape from Dubrovnik's stone-dominated Old Town. This modern peninsula boasts stunning beaches where clear Adriatic waters meet pebbled shores and concrete sunbathing platforms. Pine-scented walking trails wind through lush Mediterranean forests, leading to hidden coves with breathtaking sea views. The neighborhood's upscale resorts and beach clubs create a refined atmosphere perfect for relaxation. Copacabana Beach and Lapad Bay provide ideal spots for swimming and sunset watching. Though removed from Old Town's bustle, regular bus service makes city exploration easy while maintaining this peaceful resort setting.

Lapad

Lapad Peninsula curves around the sparkling Adriatic Sea just a few miles from Dubrovnik's Old Town. This resort area blends pebble beaches with pine-scented forests. Families love the crescent-shaped bay where clear waters meet walkable promenades lined with cafes. The tree-lined coastal path makes exploring a delight without needing a car. Resort hotels and local apartments create a relaxed atmosphere away from Old Town crowds. Swimming, snorkelling, and sunset dining create the perfect Mediterranean retreat with easy bus connections to Dubrovnik's historic sites.

Pile

Unique features of Pile include the historical sites and seaside views. Make a stop by Lovrijenac Fort or Gradac Park while you're exploring the area.

Hotel Komodor

8/10 Good
"The photos are deceiving, the hotel insideis quite dated and in need of modernisation and nothing is nearly as big as it looks. However, we were very comfortable, we didnโ€™t have a see view but that did mean we werenโ€™t overlooking the road either and our room was very quiet. We stayed in the annex and there is no lift, not a problem for us that might be for others. The staff could be a lot friendly, most barely smile but they were helpful. Housekeeping was excellent and the cleaners had big smiles, reception could do with being more like them. On checking in there were no words of welcome from the gentleman behind the desk, he held out his hand and said possible whilst still looking at his computer screen! Not unfriendly as such, they could just use a little more finesse. The breakfast was fantastic, a real variety and everything you would expect in a much larger plusher hotel. The hotel was also excellent in letting us check in early however that did mean on departure. We also couldnโ€™t overstay by a little but we could use the pool, which is only small but very clean. Excellently located, sunset beach is less than five minutes walk. Copper canโ€™t beach is a short bus ride and a lovely beach although the beds & umbrellas are quite expensive but if you decide to have lunch there they do a deal that takes off the price of the hire. Also excellent located for the promenade, which is lovely night and also the bus stop to Dubrovnik is a minute walk away. It was a pleasant stay."

"Immaculate. The rooms were sizable and maintained. They were a little bit dated, but the size of the rooms in the balcony and the amenities is more than made up for the rooms design being perhaps a decade old. The bed was comfortable, the air-conditioning worked very well, the bathroom was big, the kitchen was huge. The accommodations were absolutely wonderfully comfortable!"

Hotel Sumratin

Hotel Sumratin

10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at Hotel Sumratin for five nights and had a fantastic experience. As a new hotel, everything is finished to a very high standard. The rooms, public areas and facilities were all spotless, and the attention to cleanliness throughout our stay was excellent. The service was consistently friendly and professional, and the hotel grounds and restaurants were beautifully maintained. The breakfast and dining options were of a high quality, and there are also plenty of great local restaurants right on the doorstep if you want to explore. The location is one of the hotel's biggest strengths. It's ideal if you want easy access to Dubrovnik's Old Town without having to stay in the middle of the crowds. You can enjoy the beautiful coastline and a much more relaxed atmosphere, while still being only a short journey from all the main attractions. There's also a supermarket just a couple of minutes' walk away, which is really convenient. The only minor criticism is the rooftop pool. While it's a lovely space with great views, it's quite small for a hotel of this standard and can feel a little limited during busier times. That said, it's a very minor point in what was otherwise an excellent stay. We couldn't really fault the hotel, and if we return to Dubrovnik, we'd happily stay here again or somewhere very close by. Highly recommended."
