I would recommend an overnight stay.

The unit looked tired and in need of a face lift, We had all what was needed and towels replinished daily. The customer laundry area was filthy and in need of a clean. As a bonus there was a restaurant onsite which served delicious food.

Arrived at reception to be told that they could not honour my booking as there were no rooms available so after travelling from Perth for 10 hours or so I had to try and find other accommodation. Unfortunately, Carnarvon was totally booked out so went to the pub instead and one of the staff members there rang the Caravan Park. Luckily, there was a last minute cancellation and I was in the right place at the right time otherwise I would have been sleeping in my car! Stressed, grumpy and tired!

Charged more at check-in and told that Expedia’s prices are not correct and that we should have booked directly with them. Told that if we don’t like it, there is plenty of other people that would like the room. Room configuration was supposed to be 1 Queen and 1 Twin bed..but was allocated 1 Queen bed only, however they kindly changed the room to what we had requested. Large cobwebs clearly visible in the room. Bedside light not working and when I went to get into bed noticed there was no plug on the end of the cord, just bare wires...and this was between the mattress and the wall! Clearly we would not recommend this property, nor would we ever stay there again!

Convenient to find and good parking I wasn’t overly impressed with cleanliness Bathroom tap dropped, bedside table sticky and bed lamps flickered and could not use them. Staff advised they didn’t like Wotif booking, gave me business cards to use next time. Was charged more than wotif price

Property was fine. It was making a booking through wotif which was the problem. When arriving there was no book8ng and it cost$15 more on arrival. The property told me they do not use wotif or other online booking companies. So really unsure on what when how? Great place to overnight though. Zero complaints on the place

Always stay at the Gateway. It is easy to access whether in a truck or light vehicle, friendly helpful staff and rooms though simple are all we need. Love the buffet too.

Very old run down hotel, sheets beds appeared to be not clean, floors not vacuumed or mopped, leaking fridge, cockroaches in fridge and ironing board cover, very old sir con hardly worked. Terrible experience. Do not stay here!!

Good size room for an overnight stay. Comfortable beds, friendly staff. Neat and tidy - just need to reduce the amount of bleach used in the bathroom as the whole room had to be aired out.

Lack of support by the management

Circumstances prevented us from staying the last night of our booking. We visited the office and enquired about a refund for the final night. Management refused to consider our request saying we must take it up with Expedia as you were the otganisation that deducted the cost from my credit card. Expedia.com was impossible to contact over this matter, this seemed illogical as they surely would have received payment for our booking. I understand there may have been a deduction in fefund because of my forced premature departure, but no structure to address this matter and a contact attempt by the hotel management , just a point blank refusal to address our request. Very disappointed by the lack of action by thr gateway motel management, and very disappointed by the difficulty posed by expedia.com to being contacted to address this matter.

The Gateway Motel is not honest

The Gateway Motel stated that wifi was available and provided me with a password. Unfortunately there was no wifi for the three days that we were there. The Gateway Motel tried to help me with a two different connections - but to no avail. The wifi did not work. This is false advertising and if I had been advised that there was no wifi I would not have booked the Gateway Motel

On our way home

One word absolutely disgusting, my daughter and I stayed here for one night on our trip home and we couldn’t get out fast enough, would’ve rather slept in the car. Stained carpet, bleach stained and torn towels, stained curtains and bed linen. It was freezing cold as split system only blew cold air, no top sheets and only bed cover no blankets supplied at all. I can’t believe they can charge this much for such a terrible room.

Good, serviceable overnight stay.

This was just an overnight stay on our way North. The room/bed was comfortable and amenities good (eg fridge, microwave, aircond, and there were extra beds in the room). The bathroom fan didn't work. We had dinner in the restaurant - pasta buffet, which was wonderful. We couldn't get the free WiFi to work at all, despite many tries.
