Hotels in Greenway Plaza-Upper Kirby

"I was very annoyed that common sense didn’t take precedence over technicality. My name was misspelled by expedia but, I presented proof of reservation, showed the transaction from my checking account, photo id and they finally needed to see an email with the mispelled/shortened name to honor my reservation. Upon entering the room, the very first thing I laid eyes on was this dark shadow on the bathroom floor; after turning on the light, I see that it’s shoe print from either polish or dye. Very unsightly. I couldn’t believe they wouldn’t have replaced those tiles or floor. The room carpet was a dark color but, I could tell it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. Two bed room, one plastic laundry bag. The antiquated toiletry size annoyed me; those toy bottles aren’t enough for one person. Do they not know that we’re expecting full size toiletries in the shower now? Speaking of the shower, they actually have a sign posted informing that; you have to allow the water to run at least 5 minutes to warm up but, when it does, there’s hardly any water pressure. There’s no deodorizer used in the towels they didn’t have a fresh scent. If it hadn’t been for the fact that were only stayin overnight I would have taken that loss ( no cancellations ) and went elsewhere. The only reason I gave three stars is for the ambiance leading to the room, valet service and the check out person was very sweet. They need to do better.!!!"

"Need to keep better care, the place felt super dirty and the elevator almost broke with me and my family in it. Our keycard stopped working during our stay. The fridge wasn’t really cold either. Breakfast was good. Gym was pretty nice. Didn’t swim during this stay. I love that they offer airport shuttle. Overall, it was okay. Not the worst, not the best."

"Front desk had an insane attitude , when we asked for a safe she said there isn’t one safe in the whole hotel, when we asked if we could upgrade she said no you can get another room exactly the same price and condition as your current room. We asked if she was sure ask there were better rooms and were willing to pay she said trust me I work here I know more than you. She yelled at hung up on Expedia customer support twice. We had no safe, no cleanliness , the pipes in the toilet ran the entire night. THIS IS NO WAY A FOUR STAR HOTEL, more like a motel or a 2 star hotel. Everything is so old in the room even the iron doesn’t work. The shower curtain was moldy as well. They are charging similar prices to what’s around which is straight robbery. Would not recommend if you are expecting a somewhat classy stay "

"There aren't enough luggage carts. My sister was traveling with a large oxygen machine plus our bags and cases. Management at the desk said sometimes guests keep the luggage carts. I mean how selfish can you be. I suggested a sign needs to be posted to return luggage racks to the foyer on Reception level. "
