Cambria Hotel Houston Downtown Convention Center
10/10 Excellent
"Cambria was great! There’s a little construction outside the building on the side walk that takes away from the Cambria sign. It’s a quiet area close to the astros stadium and fans were in and out but still respectful of other guest and quiet. The restaurant inside the hotel was pretty great and had good breakfast options. When I checked in the incidental fee was less than I thought which was great news however I only use my cashapp card on vacations and was informed that cashapp takes a while to return if they do the hold which I appreciated. I let them charge my card and just refund me at the end of the stay and I received my money back in 3 days. The inside of Cambria is lovely! The build of the hotel along with states and gold accents were about 100 years old as I was told and looks beautiful. There are 21 floors and I stayed on the 14th floor. My view was construction but that’s okay my room was very neat and clean. There’s a led mirror in the bathroom with a bluetooth speaker built in that I loved and the bathroom is very spacious. I did not care for the see through shower with no door I felt like water was getting everywhere but that wasn’t a big deal! The staff was super courteous and I wouldn’t mind staying there again. No issues the entire stay, good food, friendly staff and areas to walk around! Parking is $59 a day but I uber or had some friends pick me up. Book your stay because it’s worth.
