Short walk to the beautiful lake.
Do note that the drive up into the property is a small slope and would be slightly difficult for larger cars.
Cleanliness was alright with the exception of some cobwebs at the corner ceilings.
Nice place, great staff, well equipped!

My first stay at Rothay Garth and the friendly staff - Joanna - made the experience more delightful. Finding the location via car GPS was intriguing. It said the location was on the left when the actual address is on the right side a little further down from the GPS indication. After making couple of rounds we found it and glad there was parking was available. Overall, Ambleside is a perfect location as a base to visit the lakes district and Rothay Garth was an excellent choice.

The room and toilet were spacious which made our stay very comfortable. It only has one dining option which seems to be frequented by locals as well. The area is very peaceful and well maintained. The only con is that there isn't a lift in the property which can be challenging for someone who can't really climb stairs.
