Our stay on St. Lucia and at the Caribbean Jewel (Rodney Bay) exceeded all our expectations.

The staff at the Caribbean Jewel could not have been more friendly and helpful, it was clear from the very start that they were proud of their island and were committed to making their guests stay enjoyable and totally stress-free. We would like to think that we very quickly become part of a happy family rather than the guest and staff relationship which is so often the case in larger establishments. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and cool, well equipped with all the necessary facilities. The grounds were neat and tidy and the swimming pools a welcome place to relax and cool off. The small restaurant and bar is in the perfect position for spending a quiet evening overlooking Rodney Bay. The location was perfect and being uphill gave lovely views across the Bay to Pigeon Island and the distant island of Martinique. The closeness to the beach and main resort areas took about 10 minutes walk down and slightly longer coming back up depending if we stopped off at the Triangle Pub for a few Pitons. You soon get into the local time-zone and appreciate the lack of the words rush and stress in Creole.
