the location WOW
The location was excellent, the rooms were large, and the beds were comfortable. If you don't mind stairs, this is an excellent place to stay.

Walking distance to everything
This hotel is located in the old quarter, not far from the lake. It is in the heart of the shoe district. Night market is also right around the corner. The hotel is small, not sure how many rooms total. The room is decent size and it had white sheets. Yes, the sheets are important to me to make sure my bed is clean. The room is clean and the bathroom is clean. Our shower door didn't latch on so the water splashed outside the door when using the shower. Overall, a decent hotel.

Good hotel in the center of Old quarter
We stayed at the classic hotel for one night. The room was comfortable, breakfast was good. Highlight of this hotel were the friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel.

We arrived in the middle of the night; reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We have a room in the 5th floor, facing another building, which was perfect for keeping the street noise out. Breakfast was good and plenty. The hotel has three separate but joined buildings, if you have issues with climbing stairs make sure to mention it to them, one of the buildings has an elevator. Pretty good deal for the price; we will stay again

Great and Unique Hotel to Stay In!
Lovely stay in this beautifully decorated hotel. Staff were all very welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful too. The famous Green Tangerine restaurant is just opposite the hotel, so do drop in and give it a try. No complain. Would stay again.

Great location in the old quarter if that's where you want to be: lake, restaurants, water puppet theater are within a short walk. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is alright: nothing too fancy, but good. Good value for the money.

Good location as situated in Old Quarter.
Very clean and big room for family suite. What you see in photos is what you will get. We had a very pleasant stay. However, the wifii speed and sound blockage of the room can be improved. Otherwise, it is a really good and affordable hotel to stay at.

Request front unit with historic charm
We stayed here twice and had two different experiences. Our first visit we stayed in the front units which are older and historic and have a lot of charm. Five stars for the front units. The second time we were put in the back units which are very modern and lack the charm you would associate with 'classic street hotel'. Not happy with the back units. Request a front unit with the historic charm.

good hotel but not great
This hotel is good, but looses a few stars as there were inherent problems. Like the the tub in the bathroom leaks water like crazy when you take a shower. So you end up using a flip flop all the time or you will be walking on ick. The room that I was in had problems locking and opening, thought he staff was quick to take care of it. I had trouble nearly everyday trying to figure out if the door was locked or not. Not such a fun thing to do. The hotel is on a busy street but the noise does not reach your room. I would advise people not to book for tours from the hotel desk as they are extremely expensive. The hotel is close to Hoan Kiem lake. The room is equipped with coffee maker & an inroom safe

3rd stay but get a room at the back
I like this hotel its the third time I wave stayed My only reservation is this time we had an internal courtyard room above the kitchen and if we weren't getting up early for a flight I would not stay in that room as the noise started about 5 am Ask for a room facing the back of the hotel Staff helpful and friendly would stay again

Hotel needs upgrades in the rooms
It was nice overall due to its location in the old quarters. The room we stayed in had mold, the whole room needs upgrades. Luckily, the bed was clean and that was nice because we slept well in it.

It's a hotel for the local and not for visitors.
I could manage my 9 nites stay somehow however. The rooms were acceptable but bath rooms were very poor furnished plus it smell, it-s stink. Necessaries of life eg water, hot water and electricity were available. One good thing was the quality of breakfast served there in comparison with foods outside.

You only get what you pay for..
Compared to the recent hotels we've stayed at whist in Vietnam this was extremely poor. The receptionist was condescending when we explained that we normally book a twin bedded room otherwise we would have added our preference in the comments section. She ignored our remarks and charged us 5 USD extra. The room was average size but was dark, poorly maintained and the sheets were damp. We promptly moved to the La Siesta nearby that was double the price but worlds apart in comfort, style and quality.

The Classic Street Hotel's staffs were helpful throughout our 2 night stays. The place was near to all the shopping streets and eateries. A good stay. Breakfast was Okay.

What a great little place this is, Great service, very friendly and so helpful in anything we asked.. Upgrade to a honeymoon suite, which is always a bonus. Good breakfast, rooms where big, clean and a lovely big shower with hot water..

Great spot in centre of Hoan Kiem action.
Stayed here on and off over a period of two weeks while experiencing Hanoi, Halong Bay, Cat Ba and Haiphong. Classic St Hotel made a great base camp with friendly, helpful management and staff. It was the perfect place to meet up and spend time with our son and his girlfriend, in the course of their cycling trip from NZ to the UK. When we showed interest in the intricately carved carrot flowers, the delightfully cheerful kitchen staff all dropped what they were doing and gave us a demonstration of this delicate art, which we much appreciated. Much thought and effort has been put into the furnishings and decor in the lobby and dining areas, creating a wonderful South East Asian ambiance.

Sehr zentrale Lage, Einkauf- und Essensmöglichkeiten vor der Türe Bekamen ein kleines aber sauberes Zimmer mit Balkon in den Innenhof. So war es auch ruhig und angenehm zum schlafen.

前回良かったので今回も利用させてもらいました。 スタッフの応対もチェックイン時の迅速さも相変わらず良かったです。 部屋も清潔でした。朝食はバイキングで種類も価格相応ですが豊富で美味しくいただけました。 快適なホテルでしたが気になる所もありました。 まず、窓からの景観が真近に迫った隣の建物の壁でした。今回は薄型TVになっていましたがほとんどのチャンネルが受信不良状態でした。wifiもよく切れたりしていました。 TVはあまりみないし、現地のsimで対応したので特に問題はありませんでしたが、宿泊を考えている方はそんな部屋もあると参考にしてください。

Visite du centre ville et plan repos vers le lac facilite par l interdiction de circuler aux vehicules a moteur le week end autour du lac. Soiree a l opera reussie et proximite de tres bons restaurants aux alentours de l hotel Aller a la gare pour prendre les premieres places dans le bus tout neuf 86 pour se rendre a l aeroport rapidement 7 arrets seulement

좋은 위치, 하지만 에어컨은 꽝!!
위치는 괜찮습니다. 룸 컨디션은 오래된 건물이라 크게 기대 하지 않았지만 깨끗한 편이고 욕식도 제법 넓은 편 이었습니다. 에스컬레이터가 없어서 4층 이상은 힘들실것 같구요 에어컨이 낡아서 시원하지 않습니다. 더운 나라인데 에어컨이 시원하지 않은게 최고 단점인거 같습니다.
