Great location and very kind employees, anytime I asked a question they went above and beyond to help me. The room I stayed in was massive and had a pretty view of the city with a balcony. I highly recommend!

Overall fine, but not quite as pictured
The location of the hotel is good, with it being easy to walk anywhere in the old quarter and beyond. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, being willing to help us call a taxi and advising us where to buy a sim card. The only problem is that the pictures and some information were inaccurate. The room we selected is depicted as having multiple windows which face the outside, when in reality we only had two windows which faced the stairwell and hallway, with no direct sunlight. Lack of sunlight really affects my ability to wake up normally, leading to very groggy mornings. The upside is that it reduces noise. Some of the rooms' descriptions should therefore be edited to remove the "city view" description. An upside is that our bed was a king, not a double as listed. Otherwise, everything was fine. Solid budget hotel if all you want is a big bed to sleep in during the night.

Great service, but not so "posh".
The service was fantastic, but there were a few issues at the hotel.1. There was no WiFi internet connection for the first day I was there. 2. The room had a lot of noise coming from the bathroom, I think related to the water heater. I was able to reduce the noise by shifting the level on the shower. 3. There was water leakage in the bathroom and the room just felt really musty. The bed was also too soft for my preference. All of that said, the staff made every effort to make the stay enjoyable and deserve recognition for the great service they provided and efforts to resolve the WiFi issue.

The truth
Spent 3 days here .The six million scooters in Hanoi passed the hotel continuously. Room was basic and noisy from 7 in the morning with demolition of next door. On arrival bags were left in lift to collect. Water for shower didn't work one morning and wifi was useless. Picture shown on website is the small hotel under the background hotel. Staff were great

Located in Old Quarter... Staff is very helpful. They can help you to arrange any of the tours you want (Halong bay, Lan Ha bay, Cat ba or Coc Tam) according to your budget (Low price tour means a bit of compromise on standards...) Overall, good experience...

The hotel was lovely, great staff and in a great location but it was very noisy in the mornings as our room was near the kitchen and our bed was made up of two single mattresses with one sheet over it so it kept making a gap in the middle

Posh Hotel - Perfect Hotel
You could not ask for a more comfortable stay in Hanoi. Rooms are in great condition and the service is exceptional. A special mention to Diep, Dinh and Spring who done everything in their power to make our stay perfect - from advising on Halong Bay excursions to recommending local restaurants. Breakfast was great, with a selection of both western and local dishes. Would definitely return in the future!

Central hotel with comfortable bed and clean room.
Warm welcome to Posh hotel with a Vietnamese coffee. We were upgraded to a lovely room with air con. Very comfy large bed, friendly & helpful staff. In the centre of bustling Hanoi. Good choice of breakfast with great coffee up near the roof. Wr returned for 2 more days ( stayed 4 in total). They order cheaper taxis for you too. Highly recommended family-run hotel. Would come back!

Nice hotel short walk to Hoan Kiem lake
Felt very comfortable. Comfy room and excellent service. The staff was fantastic, always happy. We booked our Halong tour through them and were very happy. Breakfast was great with lots of fresh fruits. Best hotel we stayed at through Vietnam

The reason was the guests staying in the room next to yours left the balcony door opened when they left their room. The cockroach came from the house next to the hotel. Amazing staff makes you feel like family!
The staff is great! All very helpful, polite and kind! It really makes different. The location is very good, just minutes walking to the old quarter and the night market. The breakfast is also great and they have exchange money service at the reception to make everything so convenient!

Awesome hotel near old quarter in Hanoi
The renovated French style hotel was intriguing, but the staff running it was outstanding. We were greeted at the door and immediately they couldn’t do enough to make our stay better. The manager did fairly well with English, but even those who didn’t speak it knew what they needed to do to take care of needs. The rooftop restaurant, sadly, is only really used for breakfast. Other meals are brought in - better to go find a nearby eatery unless carry out is your desire. But the breakfast is magnificent. Eggs. Pancakes. Bacon. French toast. All freshly cooked. And the fruit - at least 8-10 choices every morning. Delightful. They also have a tour desk. The lady running it has connections for any activity you can imagine. We booked a boat cruise and then a cooking class. She had all sorts of options and was very knowledgeable. They were wonderful. We were looking for an American based all inclusive. We were talked into this gem. Very Vietnamese and delightful Amazing value. I can’t think of a better way to experience Hanoi and still be pampered.

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious where they made you whatever eggs you like, drink as much coffee or fresh fruit as you want. There was free tea and coffee all day long at the lobby too. Delicious breakfast in the nice view room restaurant. Expect a luxury room ? You will need to pay US$ 250-350 to stay in another 5 star hotel or resort. Only US$ 32/ night so what we got was more than expectation.This little hotel had everything, such as best a/c, minibar with fresh drinks at good price, comfy bed, clean bathroom, hot shower, easy to walk to the night market or Hoan Kiem lake… Nothing to complain

Great stay with easy access to the lake
Both the service and the hotel were above average. We were helped with every aspect of our stay. The staff were the stand out. They were an exceptional help to us and made us book extra nights to enjoy their hospitality. Get out of the hotel, turn right and walk straight you will get to the Hoan Kiem lake.

When we first arrived we were greeted outside with a rat running along the PVC piping on the outside of the building. The room we booked was not the room we were to be receiving & had to pay additional costs (double) for a room that wasn't in the basement.On the morning we were to leave we had an early flight and left the hotel at 4:30am. After taking the elevator to the ground floor the entire area was in darkness, a staff member was asleep in front of the elevator, he made no move to turn the lights on. Making our way to the lobby in the darkness, my disabled wife down the two steps into the entry area. Landing us in the hospital and ruining our trip. The hotel emailed us asking if she was alright which I responded NO that we had to go to the hospital have x-rays and medical treatment for her. We heard nothing more! Making matters worse, we arranged with the hotel a taxi to the airport the morning of departure from Hanoi to Hoi An, the hotel staff were more focused on whether we had prepaid the driver for the transportation rather then my wife and her injuries which were extremely obvious. The hotel driver was falling asleep and driving off the road on the way to the airport. He spoke no English and at that time we just wanted to arrive in Hoi An and get to a hospital in one piece. This has cut short our holiday, losing money on booked tours and hotels not to even mention the cost on my wife's health. This hotel needs to learn customer service for clients.

However, to let other guests reading this comment, we would like to correct all infor you wrote here: 1, 'When we first arrived ... outside with a rat running along the PVC piping on the outside of the building" => We can control this problem. In Vietnam, you can see rats every where. We can only be sure that there is NO RAT in the hotel and in the rooms 2, "The room we booked was not the room we were to be receiving & had to pay additional costs ...the basement" => You booked the CHEAPEST room (standard - US$ 22/ night) located on the ground floor. We did show it to you and you with your wife said that you preferred to pay more for our BEST room (Suite - that the price on the Internet US$ 60/ night). We did not charge you double. We charged you US$ 22 more/ night which meant we offered 35% OFF 3, "On the morning we were to leave we had an early flight and left the hotel at 4:30am. ... to turn the lights on" => This was the staff's mistake and we did apologized for that. It was because the man working at night just took his new shift and he did not get use to staying up all night long. He felt asleep and did not complete his duty => he got a sack and had to stop working at our hotel because of this big mistake 4, "The hotel emailed us asking if she was alright . We heard nothing more!" => We did response to you and said that we were happy to pay the hospital fee. It seemed you did not have internet connection and the email we had sent did not reach you on time. Any way, making you feel not happy, and caused any little problem,.. it was all our mistakes. We sincerely sorry for this and will try our best to improve the problems to be sure that it will NEVER happen again Take care and we wish you all the best!

I have never stayed at a hotel with this level of customer service and friendliness from staff. It made our whole stay in Hanoi pretty unforgettable. Everything from fresh drinks when we arrived to opening up breakfast early just for us when we had an early bus. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. We were upgraded when we arrived. Breakfast was delicious and filling- many options were available. It was a great experience.

I knew nothing about Hanoi when booking so proximity to the "old town" for me would generally mean the most charming part of the city which is not quite the case in Hanoi. The old town is pretty chaotic, dirty, run-down - but teeming with life and the cheering sight of lots of young, happy families. We had 2 excellent excursions to Halong Bay and the Bai Dinh Pagoda organised by Get Up and Go Vietnam.

Amazing stay- thank you!
My partner and I booked for one night, and ended up staying out whole trip to Hanoi! We can't say enough good things about the hotel and staff there- beautiful historic hotel with spacious rooms and staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Saddest part about leaving Hanoi was saying goodbye to the wonderful staff and management at Hanoi Posh Hotel!

Neat, clean and so nice!
Dan was so nice and helpful from the moment we arrived until we departed. Got us accommodated even with our late check in and upgraded us to a lovely deluxe room. He really went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay and that we did. Got us sorted with the ladies downstairs to book our Halong Bay tour which was absolutely perfect! Great location as well and the breakfast was so filling! Loved all the fresh fruit! Highly recommend this place mainly for how at home we felt thanks to Dan. Keep up the good work!

Great service and location
Top location in the old quarter, just right to also get some time to rest. Rooms are nicely furnished and clean. Fresh fruit for breakfast. The staff is super friendly and very helpful with tour arrangement. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone coming to Hanoi

Excellent staff - all exceptional and very friendly. Designed, clean and big rooms. Good breakfast, room very well equipped and comfortable and in a great location, close to it all whilst also being just tucked away enough to not be overwhelmed. Travel desk helped to arrange all travels in Vietnam
