I am sure the Mulia was once a very nice hotel, but it is now showing its age. However, the pool, gym, tennis courts, sauna, and spa are still top-notch. The breakfast buffet is above average, and the food from the restaurants, both local and Western, is much better than expected. There is no better place to stay if you are attending a game at the Indonesia Sports Complex, but I otherwise wouldn't go out of my way to stay here as there are better hotels priced less than this with preferable locations.

We had a very nice stay im very comfortable room. Love how the customer service got all connected; we never have to tell our room number / booking name everytime we needed to ring for anything. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience

Language barrier issues. Not enough privacy.
Hotel staff are friendly but their English is limited. Difficult at times with questions or queries. There is a large number of waiting staff for the number of guests at one time. Too much attention on the guest sometimes, it feels like you are being watched. Every few minutes someone is coming over to the table.

This time Mulia Senayan doesn’t seems to be what it used to be earlier. Small Small things makes a difference. There was no iron, no bathrobe, no slippers in the room. Minibar was empty, don’t know why charged the credit card. We ordered for a coffee and asked for some cake or cup cake kind of snacks. The only thing available at 5 pm was cheese cake. That too was frozen and as hard as rock. Never expected that in Mulia. The rooms are same as before no renovation done. And who keeps a giant artificial tree inside a hotel room these days 😊 We had a room credit of 120,000 which we were told will be applicable to all food and drinks just excluding alcoholic drinks. However we never got that on Coffee and Cheesecake ordered at room. Anyhow we stayed only for a night so it was ok.

Very spacious building, has all the necessities needed and close to a mall. Although the breakfast food was okay, the cafe downstairs is open 24 hours. If they offer drinks ask for the drink menu for price, we checked in late after arriving late and was starving. Ordered food and orange juice and was charge 130 rupiah for 1 oj and there was 2 of us. Charged 260k for 2 OJ is equivalent to around $27 aud, you can imagine our shock but didnt realise how bad it was until the next day after we had rested from full day of flights.

Just simply brilliant - one of the best hotels in the world - the restaurants are fantastic and the Edogen is a MUST for Japanese cuisine. If Thai food is more your style then Orient 8 is unbelievable. The executive lounge and staff is a great addition to the stay as well

A very expensive pair of slippers
I became violently ill from food poisoning after eating in the evening buffet in the cafe. The hotel staff was helpful and attentive. I did not mention what I thought was the cause of the illness, I suppose I should have. Unfortunately, this staycation ended up being a comfy bed and an expensive pair of slippers.
