Although we enjoyed our stay here, it is difficult to recommend this apartment as there are too many negatives. We knew it was going to be small but with the double bed pushed up against the side wall and almost touching the one at the foot, it was not very easy for the person on that side to get in and out. Don't even think about using the sofa bed for a second couple.
Although superficially clean looking, it was decidedly grubby in places such as the sealant in the kitchen and around the cooker hood. A missing piece of floor trim was left on top of the wardrobe (which had most of its back missing) with another random piece of wood. I had to repair one of the folding garden chairs provided in the kitchen area before using it as the slats were falling out. Everything was the cheapest from IKEA.
The owner tries to give the impression that he is your new best friend, but when he repeats himself it's obvious that it's just a rehearsed spiel.
The local area is quite characterful, but hasn't escaped the creeping commercialisation of the tacky souvenir shops. There are better place to stay in Lisbon.
