The hotel was acceptable for a short stay. The bedroom was in reasonable condition, but the bathroom was a little tired and /or needed some finishing work. Food in the evening was OK - nothing more Breakfast was OK - the food seemed to have been standing for a while.

This hotel is within easy access to Newcastle city centre and has plenty of parking. The breakfast was convenient in that it stopped us having to stop elsewhere but was fairly underwhelming.

Nice place, well situated for where I needed to be. facilities good, ream well furnished and clean and reception staff friendly and helpful. Didn't have time for breakfast but it looked and smelt very good

We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed the great facilities which include a swimming pool and a gym. The only downturn was the room being cold when we arrived, and it took ages to get the understand how the heating works. The heating is also very noisy.

Worst service ever.

This is the second time I have stayed here this month and the service has gone from bad to worse. Sat in the restaurant for 1.5 hrs waiting for my burger. Distinct lack of staff, with no one coming to apologies why the food was taking so long. As I got up to leave to walk to McDonalds, the person sat on the table next to me finally got his bowl of soup. The hotel is of a reasonable standard with a pool and gym. If you want to eat, walk the 5 mins to Boldon colliery retail park.

Booked in on the hottest day of the century as this hotel was advertised as having air-con, they didn’t, apart from in reception (nearly asked to sleep in reception. I had the most uncomfortable night in any hotel, ever. They said the manager would call me, he didn’t. Beer was expensive Breakfast was average Car park was great Staff on front were lovely. Did get a free bottle of water, unfortunately this was left out on the side, so I could have a made a cup of tea with it, if I wasn’t so damn hot! Won’t go back !

Family trip

Function on in hotel which we were not aware of. Could not open bedroom windows as noise from this would be worse. Room was hot and stuffy as a result. Breakfast was disappointing as staff more interested in talking to each other than seating us. I had to interrupt them after a few minutes to ask if we could get a table. Eggs, sausages over cooked and black pudding not cooked in middle and cold. Selection of fruit poor as only oranges and one poor looking apple. Gave up waiting for receptionist to discuss concerns in the morning when checking out as she was with a gym member. She went to serve us then he said he had another question so ignored us and spoke to him again. Left room card on desk and left. Not a great experience.

It's not new place and overall it looks quite fine. However via hotels.com we had a marking in our room that it includes AC. It definitely didn't. It was extremely hot. There's some towel heater in the toilet that can't be turned off at all. Toilet is constant +30-35C during summer days. In the room you can only open your window by few inches. They had a small table fan in the closet which was the most disgusting thing I've seen for a while. It was covered in thick dust and dirt and it took like half an hour to clean it. At first it shot huge cloud of dust all over the room. TV also needed power from the outlet so you needed to press the button first. When you look behind the TV you can see probably years of thick moisturized dust formed everywhere so it looked more like a fire hazard than only just disgusting. There was breakfast and it was ok but without anything fresh to go on bread. But bacon, beans, eggs and sausages were available. Beds were comfortable and shower had nice shower gels and shampoos. There was also very good parking area outside. Check-in&out also worked very fast and that was nice. There's also good looking gym.

First night there was a fire, got relocated to another hotel at 3am. When returned the next day they put us in the same room after asking if there was still a smoke smell. Was told everything is good. Walked into the room and instantly called for a new room. No refund or compensation was offered. Not even a complimentary breakfast.

Hotel rooms are extremely old. Stains on all walls. Beds are older than me. The service is good. No cental heating or air con. Surprised at the price is the charge per rooms for what they offer.
