"This hotel is located in the busy Alfama district, so you're in the centre of everything. Loads of restaurants and historic sites. It's on the tram line, too, literally outside of our window. Diego is a rock star. We had trouble with our air conditioning and he worked doggedly to get it working and saved the day. This is not a fancy place, but you're not going to Alfama to sit in your hotel room all day---it's a good, quiet place to rest your head and feet after a delicious dinner. "

"I feel like you can pay maybe $20-30 cad more to be in the prime location as this is a bit far out. I'm sure there's public transport but I ubered for convenience, so the location wasn't super duper central. Zerooooo sound proofing at all. I can hear everything. I didn't have to wait for a washroom but the flush wasn't great. I also had a single room... And the single room is located right up the stairs (meaning no extra set of doors). Someone (probably just someone thinking it was their room after a late night ) kept attempting to open the door with their keys. It's not the safest when there is no reception (at night) and no dividing gate door. It's fine if youre a heavy sleeper and just using the place to sleep, but yea the sound is sooooo transparent. "

"Our stay was amazing. In the perfect location - so easy to get around and close to everything. Room was clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need for our stay. The pool area was gorgeous and quaint. Staff was also extremely welcoming and kind and accommodating for any needs through the stay. Highly, highly recommend."
