The remodel of the hotel is nice and modern. The location is prime for seeing the major tourist attractions in Seattle. We had two large issues with the hotel. First, the $25/day amenity fee is an excuse for the hotel to advertise a lower price, but end up charging you more compared to other hotels in the area. Second, the shower in our room had a tendency to leak water onto the bathroom floor and we had to use several towels to soak up the mess. Coupled with an ice cold floor this did not make a very good start to the morning. Most of the staff were helpful with the exception of one. She seemed to always be confused about the property and could not give us coffee recommendations around town. Although the Civic Hotel looks nice I would recommend you choose a different hotel in the area for similar cost and better amenities.

Place was clean and rooms were nice. Wifi in room was horrible and would not keep a consistent connection to do basic things like send and retrieve messages. Service was mediocre, staff was not willing to help my fiancée find a better connection for her business call and upon checkout they did not bother to ask how my stay was.

Property was fine. What i didnt like that i had to pay extra 30 fee on top of expedia bill. I was not told anything about common fee, i have never had to pay anywhere else.

Great location and hotel in heart of Seattle

Simple, minimal and clean rooms. We enjoyed our stay at the Civic Hotel- a boutique hotel that is great value for money and great location too. Lots of things are walking distance and not a far drive to main spots like downtown and Pike Place Market and the museums. I would liked to have had another lounge type chair in the room for relaxing or reading because there’s plenty of space for one. Other than that we were very happy with our stay!

They have board games at the longue and everything was so nice and clean. Staff are friendly too. Parking can be expensive though at $35 USD per night.

Surprisingly nice. The area around it is a little desolate and under a lot of construction, but it's still within walking distance to the Space Needle and downtown. The place itself is really nice. Very clean, open, and Modern. Love the neon sign. We showed up a few hours before check in, so they gave us a free upgrade so that we had a room ready. The upgrade was a "view"...to the freeway. But, whatever, they were nice and accommodating. A++ Would stay again.

The Civic has been welcomingly redesigned in what they call "Mid-century minimalism." which has an almost Scandinavian'esque" plus high-tech /1960's-inspired faux-dial phones & light colors throughout. We found it fun, inviting and quietly refreshing. EVERY employee was friendly, hospitable and attentive. I will definitely come back! It felt like coming home, after each day's excursions. Thank You to Liz, Riley and Kevin for making us feel so welcome!

Very cool European- Modern vibe with furnishings. Very simplistic layout which I liked. Very clean lobby & room. Comfy bed and linens. Property had a level charger for free! Our room was close to intercection so traffic and traffic cop woke us up earlier then we liked. Maybe bring ear plugs.

While the hotel itself was nice, the service was lacking. At any point in the day, there was no one tending to the front desk. They charge an amenity fee, yet there are no amenities, not even a hair dryer at least in the room, nor an ironing board. Also, the coffee machine was broken in addition to there not being any coffee in the room. found it a little unreasonable to be charging that fee when there were no amenities to be found.
