"I was delightfully surprised. I was needing to stay near a home I was purchasing so I was looking for a place to sleep as I was busy during the day. The motel was perfect, sorta old school in a good way. GREAT price and great for an overnight stop. Staff was great too."

"I had a very pleasant stay at the Taos Inn. It’s close to everything and carries the old charm you just don’t find in cookie-cutter rooms. The character of the inn is a true plus. A meal at Doc Martin’s is a must, and don’t miss a late patio visit with a cocktail while people-watching the patrons of Taos. The Taos Inn is now a must-stay on my return trips."
"The La Fonda is a beautiful old hotel. Paying for parking in the rear was so worth it. We came and left frequently, going to historical sites and Taos Pueblo. We were able to sample some local cuisine in the hotel restaurant and the owner was very informative, telling us about the history of his people and the foods they prepare(d). There is an area for games or quiet time. There was a festival on the square Saturday afternoon and evening which made us appreciate the location even more. We had a 2 room suite with a Murphy bed in the first room and a king in the bedroom. We lit our gas fireplace for a few minutes for ambiance one evening before bed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone."
"I enjoyed the large bed in our room, the view of a mountain from the patio and the comfort of the reading room. The breakfast was good too. I wish that they had served bacon along with the eggs but the variety of items was nice. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. "
"I only stayed for a day but it was a stay to remember. The check in time was later than I’m used to but you have your own parking spot reserved with your room, you walk though a beautiful garden to get to the room, we reserved the storyteller suite, so our view faces the setting sun which was gorgeous.
We didn’t need to talk to anyone because of the contactless check in which was very convenient and hassle free.
The room itself was beautifully decorated and clean, the bathroom was also very nice except for the water pressure wasn’t great, but understandably so. Another note with the bathroom it the window, toilet and mirror placement. It’s hard to describe but the window is blocking the only convenient place to look in the mirror and do makeup, hair etc.
The garden lounge area was wonderful I personally enjoyed the hammock, it was quiet and you could bird watch through the trees.
Breakfast was probably my favorite part of the stay, I was welcomed to an array of breakfast beverages and sat at a beautifully decorated table, breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
The seating and table got a little crowded once more people showed, luckily me and my partner got first pick and finished early to allow other our table when they came later.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the town plaza, there was plenty to do without driving, very convenient!
Overall 10/10 I will be planning all further trips to Taos NM at the Dreamcatcher B&B"
