This is a pretty standard Japanese 3 star hotel in a great location about 10 minute walk from Shinjuku Station. The problem I had was with this hotel's staff severely lacking proper training. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone and suggest staying at other hotels in teh area that have properly trained staff. Here are the issues I had during my stay: 1. The hotel gave someone access to a random person without checking any ID. I woke up on Saturday morning at 8AM to an unidentified man entering my room. He did not speak English and I yelled for him to get out of the room. I called to complain and the concierge only said "SO SORRY. HE CHINESE MAN. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HIM." I was furious that they did not request any ID from him. This random person could've taken my things had I not been in the room. The concierge came up later to apologize and the staff again apologized when I checked out. There is no excuse for this type of behavior. 2. After the incident with the stranger entering my room, the staff deactivated his room key as well as mine. Did the hotel staff think to come up and give me a new key or at least tell me they did this? No...of course not because again they are not well trained. I had to go back and forth downstairs to get new key. 3. Even during check-in, the staff forgot to activate my key and I couldn't get on the elevator to go to my room. Then when I got up to my room the staff called me to tell me they forgot to charge me for a 200 yen tourist tax.

Suprisingly spacious for a Tokyo accommodation. Lots of room in the washroom and shower. Plenty of space to open your luggage if you’re smart with where to open it. New bottles of water each day for your long days out. Wifi was surprisingly intermittent though, even with the receiver in the room.

Rooms are small but ok for one or two days Not very soundproof as you can hear every conversation in the hallway

With the Golden Gai in your backyard, this place was absolutely perfectly situated if you're going to go to the late night bars or izakayas. The room is a bit snug if you have more than 2 suitcases but we made do and washroom was spacious enough for my tall husband to move around. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful! Absolutely recommend this place if you're staying in Shinjuku!
