Hotel cancelled our booking 3 days before arrival

We received an email from Wotif telling us the hotel had cancelled our booking due to maintenance being completed. We booked this room months ago so why weren't we told earlier? As it turns out we drove past this hotel and were relieved it was cancelled as the location was not in a nice part of town.

Perfect place.

Orchidea was perfect for our overnight stay before our trip to Lipari. Our host was very kind and welcoming, showing us nearby restaurants etc.

Comfortable, Convenient, & Great Hosts

Had a good stay here. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is great for an early morning ferry ride. The port is practically across the street. The room, though modest, was very comfortable and quiet and had everything one would need. Also was treated well at the recommended restaurant down the street. I would stay here again if in the area.
