Harmony Hill is in a very quiet, beautiful setting. It was convenient to our event nearby and the owners were very kind, accommodating, and hospitable. Everything was very clean and comfortable and the communication was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful

A wonderful place to stay. Very welcoming. Beautifully decorated home for a true American experience. The photo doesn't do the property justice. Note to all guests - it is necessary to phone the B&B the day BEFORE you are due to arrive so as to get the relevant information to access the property. Don't forget :)

Friendly B&B

The couple who run the B&B were very friendly and helpful. They were quick to recomend places around for some great food. The room was very clean, and cozy. I would both recomend this B&B to anyone staying in the area and if I am ever in the area will definitely stay there again.

Harmony B&B

Very clean and friendly B&B in the country. Comfortable and spacious bedroom with private bathroom. Delicious breakfast and charming seating areas both inside and out. Well kept gardens and grounds complete with chickens and 2 goats safely gated in their enclosures. Wendy and her husband run a charming, very comfortable Bed & Breakfast. A must if you are in the Arrington area. Close to Charlottesville, Wintergreen are and Rt 151.

Loved all the decor!! Made me feel very welcome and loved as soon as I walked in the door. And then the service they gave was awesome! They even went out of their way to accommodate my daughter and my schedule, even when it effected theirs. Great place to stay.! Planning on going back!

Rules, rules and more rules....

Awful to the point of bizzare! Never seen anything like it in 27 years as a freelance travel writer. On arrival you are asked to take a pic of the rules on the chalkboard by the door. Absolute quiet from 10pm to 6am. If you're a night owl or late sleeper....well you're screwed st this place. And NO FOOD IN YOUR ROOM!! Unless your room has a fridge! Guests responsible for "theirselves" (non existent word) and any damage even to towels and sheets. Verbal rules given are not to lay on top of the bedspread. Do not use decorative pillows. No maid service. And more....at the price if $200 a night thank you very much! Pur bathtub was very dirty with shabbily patched holes. No shampoo but an empty one in the edge if the tub. Fireplace didn't work. Ice machine didn't work. Bed was totally worn out, hard, lumpy and squeaky. Walls and doors paper thin so you hear everyone and they hear you no matter how quiet you are. Owners dogs barking at 7am nonstop, loud voices, vacuums, washer dryer etc about same time. No relaxation here.....just oppressive rules and a general atmosphere of unfriendliness that make you feel like a grounded teenager instead of a guest!!

Beautiful home with 2 fire pits, a gazebo and a very homey, relaxing atmosphere. Amazing breakfast, we felt like we were very welcomed and at home. Would definitely stay there again!

Awesome quiet bed and breakfast.

Stayed for one night. Very peaceful and they were super friendly. The place was beautiful. You could tell they really took pride in it. Definitely recommended!!

A great place in the country

We came for a Jeep event at Oakridge and wound up staying at Harmony Hill. the place was great, feels like a Vermont Ski Lodge, comfortable and charming. The owners could no have been nicer and food was great. I would recommend this to all my friends

My husband and I booked two nights here for my birthday. Enjoyed our time here. The food was wonderful. The room was great. The owners made you feel like you are visiting family. It's in a small town and a couple of places we went when we told them where we were staying asked us to tell them hi. ??

Great place to reunite with old friends!

My wife and I met with some old friends who were visiting the area. Although we live within an hour of Harmony Hill, we decided to stay ourselves!! What a great, relaxing time! Thanks Jay & Wendy for the hospitality, fellowship and most of all the delicious breakfasts!!!

Great & Relaxing Weekend Getaway

This was really a fantastic relaxing weekend getaway. My husband & I just celebrated our 17th year anniversary & wanted to just get a short break from our 3 children - we love them to death but sometimes parents need a break :-) First, I'd like to thank Jay & Wendie for the awesome hospitality & warm welcome they gave plus the oh-so-delicious breakfast meals they prepared - great home-cooking meals! We stayed in the Ballad room which wasn't too big but just enough for us. Loved the quietness & the country-style - living in the busy city area, sometimes you just want to escape to the countryside & Harmony Hill was perfect! Jay & Wendie also gave us great recommendations on where to go/what to do in the area; we explored Crab Tree Falls - A MUST SEE if you like to do a little bit of hiking & take awesome photos by the waterfalls. We also tried 2 breweries in the area, both were also recommended by Jay & Wendie - Blue Mountain Brewery & Wood Ridge Farm Brewery - both were great! And we tried a local eatery/restaurant as well called Lovingston Cafe - yummy food as well; however, my husband ordered for medium-well burger - it was more of medium - lots of pink so he wasn't too keen on that. We highly recommend this place if you're looking for a simple & small weekend getaway. Would love to come back in the warmer months & go explore Crab Tree Falls again! Thank you so much to our very gracious hosts, Jay & Wendie!

A Great Weekend Getaway

We went to Harmony Hill right after our wedding for a short weekend honeymoon. It was the perfect setting for us. We stayed in the Ballad Room that had a fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. Wendie was fantastic as we made our trek down to Arrington. She communicated everything that we would need if we arrived later than usual. The inn is well appointed and the decor leads to a country charm feel. The setting among the quiet rolling hills of rural Virginia cannot be beat. We went on a hike to Crabtree Falls. Then had a glass of Melon Wine at Hilltop Winery and enjoyed a few beers at Wild Wolf Brewery. We would definitely recommend staying here and will be back soon!

Fall Stay in Virginia

What a wonderful place to stay. It is the best B&B my husband & I have stayed in, The innkeepers are sooh much fun. From the time we entered their home to the time we left. The food was excellent. Alot of thought put into the overall B&B. I loved the puppies.Definitely made you feel like home. Sitting around the fire was so much fun. I just can't say enough about this fabulous place. My husband and I will certainly remember this Bed and Breakfast.

AMAZING!!!!

We loved this place!!! The breakfast is to die for, the rooms are cute and clean, the owners are so friendly, the place is beautiful and secluded (So it's quiet and we loved it!) I highly recommend. It also has some wonderful hikes nearby.

Wendie and Jay made us feel like home. Only stayed for 1 night we drove down from NY for a wedding. Rented 3 rooms. My children (in their 20'S) even said they would return for a weekend stay.

Great Cabin in the Woods

My husband Gregg and I had a fantastic long weekend away for his birthday/labor day. Wendie and Jay were great and always treated us like family. They even lit a fire for us one evening. Such a homey atmosphere and the breakfast was superb, especially the Mexican breakfast!! Thank you for everything :)
