Very comfortable property, excellent breakfast. Ideal for a relaxing, ‘no rush’ stay. Note that no restaurants in walking distance so need to drive a few miles to find places to eat in the evening.

Excellent return stay

Excellent stay - this was the 2nd time we’ve stayed at Wartling Place as we came here 12 months ago. The place is excellent with a spacious room with a comfortable bed. Breakfast is amazing one of the best and the staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful . Would highly recommend staying here.

Our hosts were gracious and friendly, and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in a lovely, well appointed suite overlooking the immaculate grounds, and enjoyed the serenity of a summertime visit to the countryside. We enjoyed breakfast in the formal dining room each morning, with garden views. I highly recommend a stay at Wartling Place!

Really lovely place to stay

Lovely place to stay room was beautiful even my husband said WOW when we went in, very spacious & had a 4 poster bed very comfortable & bright room. Rowena is an excellent host helpful & informative, breakfast was very good, good quality ingredients. Would definitely recommend Wartling Place & bonus is they have parking

Luxury B&B with gourmet breakfast

Luxury B&B with Michelin style breakfast. We stayed two nights in the separate cottage with a kitchen, two bedrooms and a TV lounge. The host kindly and proactively booked a table at the local pub across the road, where we had an excellent dinner. Note that the cottage doesn’t have WiFi coverage and only intermittent 4G coverage. Highly recommended!

The best!

We loved everything about Wartling Place. Every question and request was answered and seen to immediately by owner Rowena. The breakfast is exceptional! Delicious croissants, locally smoked salmon, fruit and greek yogurt and so much more. Our vegetarian daughter was also impressed by the menu. Very comfortable bedding. Totally 5 star service in every way. We will stay here again. The only issue was finding the place - it was down a narrow country road and the GPS gave us the wrong direction for the actual location. The inn is on a blind corner on the right, not the left, opposite The Lamb Inn coming from Herstmonceux. It might be best to come from the opposite direction the first time to get your bearings.
