Staying at Kigali Castle in Rwanda was one of the best hostel experiences I have ever had. The hostel itself was both incredibly beautiful and clean. They housed extremely competent staff who were welcoming, thoughtful, helpful, interesting, and engaging. Their on-site tour guide was the most useful tool in navigating Kigali as well as trips in and outside the city. He frequently helped me with public transportation, organized a free trip to the memorial and other monuments in Kigali, as well as freely escorted me and my friend on a day-long hiking trip in volcanoes national park! Their on-site chef is a trained professional and cooked some of the best local Rwandan food in all of Kigali! Additionally, the hostel is located in one of the most beautiful and convenient neighborhoods, with the largest local farmers market just a 2 minute walk from the hostel. Overall Kigali Castle had an incredibly fun and dynamic environment that made getting to know Kigali and Rwanda very easy. I highly recommend anyone traveling to Kigali to stay at Kigali Castle, and I will definitely be coming back to stay in the future.
