Not a hotel, but a room in shared Apartment

I booked it as it showed its a hotel but on reaching the place we realised that it actually is an apartment with 2 rooms one of which is being shared by others. I requested cancellation but the owner was adamant until I complained to hotels.com . It was twin room against our booking of king bed. Also the bathroom was outside the room which was another drawback. The care taker is good and supp.
