Check-in took longer than expected. Whilst it was a one-person desk, processing the two people ahead of me seemed to take longer than it needed to. The staff seemed friendly enough though.
I discovered on check-in there was a requirement for a rp50,000 cash deposit on check-in (got a receipt and refund on check-out though).
Hotel room felt a bit cramped - I think due to the lighting. The room was bearable though. It was not as clean as it could be, with the bedsheets stained and I found a hair between the covers too. The floor looked clean but did not feel it; slippers were provided though. No fire safety/emergency information in the room and there were exposed wires for the fuse/ecd showing.
Check-out was quicker as no queue, and I got my deposit back swiftly from the friendly receptionist.
Breakfast looked ‘ok’ but mostly meat/fish based so none for vegetarians. Took a Grab to the airport as the hotel car, ‘on standby’ cost rp50,000! (Grab was 24,000).
Overall passable for a night and ok price (a bit high by Indonesian standards) but might stay somewhere a bit more relaxing next time.
Noted that you can get a discount on room rate rp300,000 if you have transit boarding pass for Batam Airport.
